    Future Westbank Project (Bjarke Ingels)

Not sure why some of you have a problem with the possibility of good development happening in places like Don Mills. I say bring it on! The density in the middle burbs could be increased 10 fold, especially along main arteries and in and around malls. If they're developed properly, I think we'll...

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Ford brother's and their radio show 'guests', not only make fun of how people look, but how they think and their status within society. Their blatant disapproval of all points of view, not based in a rich, white man's, early 20th century, conservative ideals, is so obvious, that it's become a joke.

    Toronto L-Tower | 204.82m | 58s | Cityzen | Daniel Libeskind

Going out the limb and saying L will be unique, even landmarkish in the skyline. It won't be a masterpiece, but it will still be pretty amazing.

Big difference between dropping a blanket and pitching a tent!

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Over the past 30 years, I've had picnics with my family on the Islands, Scarborough bluffs, High Park, zoo, local parkett, Withrow Park, Riverdale park, Edward gardens, and most of the Don river parks. There is no law against throwing a blanket down in a public park and having a picnic. That's...

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Technically, the agent isn't lying for Ford. Ford is stupid, so tearing down the house would be perfectly acceptable.

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Most of this surplus is thanks to Mayor Miller's Land Transfer Tax. The tax Ford said he was going to get rid of. Take the LTT amount out of the surplus and you'd get a number that would be one ofthe smallest surplus' Toronto has had since amalgamation. Ford might be able to fool those not...

Down Sizing the Big Box Store

I would like see the redevelopment on big box store areas, into medium to high density neighbourhoods. The parking lots would become low and highrise mixed use buildings and the poorly built retail (big boxes) would be replaced with commercial/ retail buildings. An area like the one along...

    Toronto L-Tower | 204.82m | 58s | Cityzen | Daniel Libeskind

The is still so much space still to be developed east of Yonge, between Lakeshore Blvd & Queens Quay. With 70s - 80s buildings west of Yonge being proposed along this strip, I wonder if we're going to see a string of 70s -80s east of Yonge, eventually?

    Transit Fantasy Maps

Above ground LRT on Hydro ROW? There are hydro fields that cut through Scarborough and Etobicoke. They would make perfect right of ways for dedicated above ground Rapid or light rapid transit lines. Once the reach their end points, the light could go underground. See really crude maps...

    Toronto 1891 Eglinton Avenue East | 167.08m | 52s | Mattamy Homes | Arch. Unfolded

The area is a vast waste land of big box retail from Victoria Park Ave. to Almost Birchmount. 3 Kms of parking lots. That said. The block between VP and Pharmacy on the north side of Eglinton is ripe for redevelopment. As is the site at 1891 Eglinton Ave. There are many other sites of similar...

    Toronto Sun Life Financial Tower & Harbour Plaza Residences | 236.51m | 67s | Menkes | Sweeny &Co

1 Bloor St. East, seems to have spawned a number of slightly deformed offspring. Are the architects in this city that lacking in ideas, that they need rip off a rip off?

    Toronto 50 Bloor Street West | 230.11m | 70s | Morguard Corporation | Pellow + Associates

"Rumoured" being the keyword. Oxford seemed to be the most cautious developer. This is their third proposal for 100 Adelaide west over the past decade and still no shovel in the ground. Hopefully the current climate in Toronto will give then the confidence to build all of these proposals.

    Toronto 50 Bloor Street West | 230.11m | 70s | Morguard Corporation | Pellow + Associates

Wow! 83s on top of 8s? or 83s in total? 83 +8, might give us our first supertall.

    Toronto Southcore Financial Centre & Delta Toronto | 159.71m | 45s | GWL | KPMB

I'm still going to call it Southcore. Just like I still call it the Sky Dome and the O'keefe Centre.

Not sure where you got your statistic of people hating streetcar ROW. Can you please point me to where this info is available? I have a number of clients and friends in the area and none of them hate the streetcar ROW. They love the street and its surrounding neighbourhood.

    Toronto Corus Quay | ?m | 8s | Waterfront Toronto | Diamond Schmitt

While Millennium Park is spectacular, I think if WFT sticks to plan, Toronto will have something just as unique in Lake Ontario Park. Add to this, an unbroken waterfront trail from the Humber to the bluffs and beyond and our waterfront will be pretty amazing and diverse in its uses.

    Entertainment District.

This image of the entertainment district really helps me understand where the current proposals sit within the area. Thanks Craig White! I now see why Automation Gallery would like a few more plus 200M towers in the area.

    Rob Ford's Toronto

Yeah, we're the kind that don't mind paying taxes (VRT) that are for the common good. Unlike the ones that support Ford, which are the kind that hate being taxpayers as much as they hate taxes being used for the common good.
