Anna you are great! Where did you get the master plan of Don Mills? I would like to see more! So the map here shows much better that the bridge/subway was there over a road. Too bad Bond does not go through to Don Mills Rd, it would be nice to have another route to Leslie.
That makes more sense. One of the many creeks that is no longer there. Since there was nothing but farms in the area and Bond does not fall on a concession (Lawrence and York Mills are those) it did not make sense to exist when the subway was built.

I did not post that I knew the spur, that is not important. Bond Ave should not have been there in 1918 so it does not make sense for the structure to be there. I am trying to find out why it was built.
The railway does not go over it now, the space is a bike and walking path. However the subway on Bond is still there. I was just there the other day and the date looks like 1913 on it. That did not seem correct as I do not think there was anything there in 1913.

I used to see one of those around Kingston all the time. The Prince George Hotel owned one in the late 80's early 90's. They still might. They would use it for promos around the city.
Are there that many stupid people? (of course there are, I know!) It would be an entrance directly into a parking lot. I have driven around the property and while you CAN get to Eglinton, it is not easy and will take you longer than the 100 meters or so down Don Mills.
That is a great story! One thing about IBM/Celestica. I do not understand why no entrance was ever made right across from Wynford Dr. Right now you get cars almost flying out of the north entrance and crossing three lanes of traffic to make the left turn onto Wynford. I know Wynford did not...
Are they going to have even fewer parking spots as a result? It says they will put parking under the new expansion but I doubt they are going to even equal what they have now.
