It doesn't necessarily have to be bike parking all 12 months of the year. Montreal does convert a lot of its on-street parking to bicycle parking, but only during the summer. In the winter, the barriers are removed and it is reverted to car spaces.

There is a lot of excess capacity southbound from those stations in the PM peak. Naturally, people could take the Yonge subway south to wherever the transfer to the DRL would be.

Well to be fair to the city of Toronto, the Simcoe St Underpass and its bike lanes were included on the 2009 Cycling Map that was out in the spring.

There were a few moving vans parked out front of 299 Queen W yesterday afternoon - the shift continues.

Alright fine. Let's build the Yonge Extension without relieving any of the capacity issues south of Bloor. Now imagine a service disruption, of even 5 minutes, at say, Rosedale Station. At the theoretical 90 second headway, that means 3 trains would have not gone by. That's Three full trains...

AGTO - if you were CTV and you own this space, and a competitor is using said space, why would you not charge?

As for Dundas Square - I think it's appropriate, given how Dundas St. winds its way through most of the west GTA to land in the heart of the big city.

FWIW Yonge Station is next on the renovation list.

Even I'm envious of Vancouver. Seriously, if we were able to do half of the things they've done for transportation and urban design, Toronto would be hands down, the best city in the world.

Of course, that doesn't specify what kind of vehicle. I think it's generic, unless you're doing a streetcar wrap or subway wrap, which would command a premium.
