Maybe they get some sort of shift "bonus" for most airmiles collected from customers?

They are also starting to fly to Mt. Tremblant this winter. This is a popular destination so it should be interesting to see how this route turns out in terms of popularity.

1 Bloor East, DEAD AND BURIED (Bazis, -2s, Varacalli)

That's only one or two projects out of dozens in those cities. You could post a pic of Libeskind's tower atop the Sony Centre but that wouldn't be representative of everything happening in T.O. Take a look at the renderings in the NYT of the many new projects going up in Brooklyn and Manhattan -...

1 Bloor East, DEAD AND BURIED (Bazis, -2s, Varacalli)

Can you post some pics of recent projects in NYC and Chicago that blow Toronto's recent projects out of the water? I get the Sunday New York Times, and the magazine is crammed full of condo ads for Manhattan projects - judging by the renderings of these projects, they're not doing anything more...

Toronto Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport | ?m | ?s | Ports Toronto | Arup

Back to the thread topic, I'd be curious to know if anyone on here has flown Porter lately and, if so, how full the plane was. Last time I flew Porter was in July to Montreal and the flight was pretty full there and back.

I can't stand that guy. He is obviously not acquainted with modern hygeine practices either. Actually, most of the check-out people are really rude there. They refuse to make eye contact, grunt if you ask a question, and never, never ever thank you. They just kind of whip your change and receipt...

Was it because of the rude staff, lack of shopping carts, product not in stock, long check-out lines, or product being sold past it's best-before date?

1 Bloor East, DEAD AND BURIED (Bazis, -2s, Varacalli)

One other thing I forgot to mention in response to BUDGEYBRIT's post is that it's also very common for developers to limit the right to purchasee parking spots to larger units. Believe it or not, but developers do not make any money on parking spots, and hate the fact that the city mandates...

I'll happily make the trek from Spire to Sobey's at Front and Princess, if it allows me to avoid Dominion.

Charging maintenance for parking and lockers is very common, and ceertainly not limited to this project. I pay monthly maintenance on my parking spot and locker and it's in line with what this project charges. The parking garage needs to be maintained and cleaned so this goes towards power...

Mode Lofts Condos (Cresford Developments) - Real Estate -

I think it may be urbandreamer's attempt at being funny, by mocking people. He did it very early in the thread by admonishing people to do their due diligence first, but the admonishment was somehow fused with some crap about the stock market.

There were some pics in today's G&M...the only "celebrity" mentioned that was in attendance was Mina Sorvino (sp?)

Doesn't London do this, to prevent people from sleeping in the park?

The Star: Is it closing time for the Matador?

Here is the stock email response I received from Giambrone: Hello, and thanks again for contacting me about the Toronto Parking Authority's (TPA) plan to purchase the site of the Matador (466 Dovercourt Road) for an off-street parking facility. Many people have commented on the proposal, and...

    Nuit Blanche

I'm sure you can apply the lessons learned to Mississauga's own verson of NB that you discussed earlier in this thread...the one being held in a mall parking lot.

The Star: Is it closing time for the Matador?

Don't look for common sense from the city, at least with the current group of fools that we have in charge. The municipal government can be considered either useless, or actually harmful to the city (ex. bureaucratic inertia on the waterfront, charging the ROM for its overhang, the Matador). As...

The Star: Is it closing time for the Matador?

It's unreal. I wrote an email to Giambrone today (you can link to councillor's emails at toronto.ca) and expressed my amazement at this decision. Doubt I'll hear anything back, tho.

    Restaurants/Coffee Shops - St. Lawrence/King East

And to your point, there is already a Subway at King and Sherbourne, which is also about 100 steps away. If I were a franchisee I'd be pissed but not much you can do, I guess.

The Star: Is it closing time for the Matador?

Vaughan's a total embarassment. What Gatien is trying to do is akin to what Strober did with the Drake, which is to kick things up several notches in a neighbourhood. He's a legitimate businessman opening a legitimate business and following all the proper channels, yet Vaughan still feels he can...
