    Toronto Musée Condos | 53.95m | 17s | Plaza | BDP Quadrangle

It's also oneeleven's site in the background making it appear even bigger.

    Toronto Massey Tower Condos | 206.95m | 60s | MOD Developments | Hariri Pontarini

Given the tightness of the site and the extra care needed to preserve the bank buildings, I would imagine so. Hopefully it's worth the wait! Like with most Toronto projects, I'm cautiously optimistic :P

Toronto St Lawrence Market North | 25.3m | 5s | City of Toronto | Rogers Stirk Harbour

Given that the city wouldn't buck up and close Market street to cars, idk if Wilton will be closed. But hey, a man can dream :)

Toronto St Lawrence Market North | 25.3m | 5s | City of Toronto | Rogers Stirk Harbour

Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere in the thread, but what will become of the temporary market site after this project is completed? Will it go back to being surface parking?

There's always the rental penthouse. The renthouse? ... I'll show myself out

Again, not saying EVERYTHING needs to be midrise in order to be a successful community. Just my personal preference on what could have been done here. Agree to disagree I guess, at the risk of getting too far off topic. What I will say is that as far as townhouses go, the ones being built here...

    Toronto TeaHouse 501 Yonge Condominiums | 170.98m | 52s | Lanterra | a—A

Not to mention the rising amount of research that proves these glass-clad condos can't handle our crazy climate range and are only a fraction as energy efficient as concrete or stone-clad buildings. Aesthetics is only one side of the coin. We can't forget that people have to live in these...

Just because we don't do it in Toronto, where retail sticks to historic main streets largely, doesn't mean it can't be successful. I'm not saying every buildings needs retail, but I think it would be appropriate here in a burgeoning area right on the periphery of the core. Don't get me wrong, I...

    Toronto TeaHouse 501 Yonge Condominiums | 170.98m | 52s | Lanterra | a—A

I won't speak to the interiors until I see finished product, and the tea house on the ground floor is an admittedly thoughtful touch, but I've seen greasy takeout boxes from Mandarin with more Asian flair than the design for this building's exterior.

    Toronto The Kip District | 120.44m | 40s | Concert | BDP Quadrangle

Kind of off-topic, sorry, but could you expand on the other two projects in the works? Do you know where the sites are? I truly believe this area from Islington to the 427 is Etobicoke's best bet of ever having a "downtown". HBS is too out of the way and too homogeneous in use. Even though the...

Yeah, not a fan of the apartment building. Also, I really think these blocks could have supported midrise with ground level retail instead of townhomes. In 20 years when this area is even more built out those townhomes will look just as out of place as the apartments they're replacing now.

    Toronto Etobicoke Civic Centre | 75.82m | 16s | CreateTO | Henning Larsen

I couldn't get a picture from the bus, but there was something going on here today. Excavators and such on site. Anyone know if this has to do with the Six Points reconfiguration or something else?

Toronto Pan Am Village in the West Don Lands | ?m | ?s | DundeeKilmer | KPMB

Even the lampposts are grey? Good Lord... on the plus side, any little bit of colour that appears in this neighbourhood in the coming years will REALLY pop with this as the backdrop.

    Toronto 327 Royal York Road | 118.5m | 35s | VANDYK | SvN

Hard to believe this is the area surrounding a rapid transit stop. It's nice to see areas like this and Kipling Station finally getting some density.

    Toronto Stanley Condominiums | 138.37m | 41s | Tribute | Core Architects

That's funny, I just emailed Tribute about this condo last week and they said it wasn't even on their radar :S

    Toronto 155 Redpath Condominiums | 120.39m | 34s | Freed | a—A

There was a show on Discovery (I think) a while back that covered the same thing. Life After People or something, a very interesting watch

On a somewhat related note, I wish more new buildings in Toronto would allow for climbing ivies if their podiums are brick. It can help soften up a podium that looks sterile and bland.

    Toronto Panda Condominiums | 107.59m | 30s | Lifetime | Turner Fleischer

sign me up for that, I wouldn't mind living in a sitcom :P

    Toronto River & Fifth Condominiums | 130.5m | 37s | Broccolini | Graziani + Corazza

nice to see downtown development creeping its way towards what i've always thought of as the "hard" eastern edge of the core. With Regent Park, West Donlands and projects like this one there's crazy levels of change happening here right now.

    Toronto 280 Jarvis Street | 74.7m | 22s | Antorisa Investments | Giannone Petricone

A midrise incorporating those rowhouses could be cool; they mesh well with the street other than the fact that they're floating in the middle of a lot.
