Another fun one from the Rocky twitter account. Worth clicking through to see the short drone video – they've posted a few of these lately which really show off the current state of things.

There's some speculation that, since the noise wall has what looks like brackets on it, there'll be an outer layer of cladding on it? I certainly hope so. The columns and guideway itself look just fine, but the noise wall is really quite dismal.

So, we now allow tall mass-timber construction, but unlike these renderings, every building we've seen so far has been a timber skeleton with glass/metal cladding. Was there not a regulatory reason for that? Fire codes or some such? (The grey matter ain't what she used to be, I may be...

I can see it – I do get kind of an 11 Walmer vibe, between the brick and the curved balconies. Overall I don't mind it, though the way the towers resolve at the crown (especially the southern one) feels incredibly awkward to me.

They've been putting Santa's Cabin (downsized from the castle, I guess Santa's an empty-nester) outside by Trinity Square in recent years. Gotta maximize that interior sales space, dontcha know.

It's basically just the MBTA logo, so maybe they were trying to make transit as clear as possible to a key demographic: people commuting in from Boston.

You mean currently, during construction? Last time I was up there, the entrance was via the north doors of Canada Square. There was no concourse access, you had to cross the street if you weren't on the SW corner. (This was a few months ago; it may have since changed.)
