For additional context I had a skim through her profile. She’s not just some twitter troll but the majority of her tweets are rather politically motivated. Not meaning to dismiss her for it but you may regard her statements as exaggerative or sensational… perhaps embellished?

    Toronto CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

A close up of work on the mechanical penthouse thanks to some old binoculars: Two angles I’m most interested to watch: And a couple shots from the park:

It has in fact topped out, I’ll snap a close up shot of the top when I get a chance. You can see them forming the mechanical PH now. Will post with some other shots from earlier today.

South concourse progress, first shots show where it meets Bay at street level: And a few from the edge of CIBC square:

Here are the two at Sherbourne, taken this evening.

I’ve heard nothing about this impacting the John and Wellington substation, nor does that make any sense. The boundaries of the outage were reported as Church-DVP, Gardiner-Rosedale Valley. I spoke with the Hydro guys outside of the 233 Adelaide E substation who reported the six breakers. Also...

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

This one certainly does not qualify as a TOC with the parking provisions. It is zoned as follows with no exemptions currently for the remaining two towers: 1 spot per unit ~1 visitor spot per 5 units 3 spots per 100m2 office 5 spots per 100m2 retail It assumes everyone drives, which of course...

Roads: Gardiner Expressway catch-all, incl. Hybrid Design (2015-onwards)

Some will say otherwise but it seems to me that our mayor’s hands are clean. The Gardiner has been uploaded to provincial responsibility as well a significant portion of the impacted population don’t vote in Toronto.

This silly squirrel at King and George (NE) crossed live and ground and now it’s swimming in pavement. The arc flash was quite spectacular, it blew 6 breakers at the nearby substation (233 Adelaide E). Happened around 10:20am. 311 has been called supposedly but no clean up yet, just Hydro and...

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

But it should get you to midtown in 25 minutes though (Renforth to Yonge / Eglinton) and that’s competitive with driving. Add 17 minutes on the transitway + transfer time and that could be ~45 minutes from MCC to Yonge / Eglinton. Off peak this trip could be sub 30 minutes via 403/401 but it...

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

Very neat! It was buried somewhere in plans including each proposed park design. @hawc has definitely captured a few glimpses of its construction but nobody has drawn attention to it in replies.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Where passengers enter hardly depends on where they plan to exit, there may still be too many commuters originating near surface stops in the morning. But yes ideally there will be a balanced split of commuters who go east to Kennedy vs. west to Science Centre.

    Toronto King-Liberty GO Station | 21.39m | 3s | Metrolinx | WSP

I know this is an old resurfaced comment but I want to highlight the site context for others. The bridge could not easily be relocated further east as the ROW is squeezed thin. Yes the entrances are offset from vehicle paths, but there are many direct walkable paths from Queen using this...

This video looks exciting and promising when watched at 2x speed. I really liked the part where the single rich person in a Lamborghini had turning priority over the LRV.

Core just about topped out and the rest is filling in the skyline from north east.

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

I think I put this one near the bottom of my ballot. The shape, colour, and cables all create a shared theme of bridges in the channel (future OL Lower Don Bridge and other Villiers Island bridges). Some will favour the consistency, personally I would prefer a variety.

    Toronto Forma | 308m | 84s | Great Gulf | Gehry Partners

The addresses for this are a bit messy; lot control splitting, rezoning, assembly. The second phase (west tower) will stretch from King St to Pearl St and from Ed Mirvish Way to Princess of Whales Theatre. Next to the theatre the Anderson Building facade will be retained.
