What's the rush anyways at this point ? At least WT is communicating decently and not pulling out the Metrolinx card. Diligence definitely on their part for assuring that it won't be opened haphazardly. I'd like to think that WT does things right the first time (in most cases). In the meantime...

As for the tree in the photo, I hope the trees they are planting won't die off like so many have along "upper" Cherry / the loop / Mill / Canary.

Traffic at times along current Cherry can be very bad from Front to Polson, esp. for weekend Rebel events (that night club) and of course during the Distillery market, never mind the heavy equip't vehicles weekdays.

I was thinking a before Holiday opening as well ! Oh well, let's see what transpires. If in January, let's hope for a mild opening !

I have had a decent view since it all began ... it's all about being at the right place at the right time ! I've become very passionate about the whole Lower Don Lands redevelopment, and esp. the new bridges tbh. Btw thank you !

Evening shift ... let the paving commence !

Heavy equipment arriving at 430pm.

Signals at Cherry / Lakeshore functional as of 3pm. Let's hope they close the gates tonight or a vehicle doesn't go barreling through those gates. Perhaps they'll be paving the road in the next few days, and maybe opening by the 24th ?

Today saw what looks like some final pouring of the path along the eastern bridge, as well as work done on the traffic signals at Cherry / Lakeshore intersection.
