    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

I believe there are First Nations issues holding up some of those sections. And to be fair, is twinning Highway 69 really a high priority? The GTA has many more pressing needs (*cough* QEW through Mississauga).

407ETR widening between 410 and 427 is complete. Now built out to the full 5 lanes per direction.

Hopefully the section of road between York and Bay can be opened in advance of the rest of the work (possibly one month away?).

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

You are overthinking it. They will just run a convenient shuttle from the nearest station to Woodbine. If there's not enough interest/volume, they will just rely on TTC/drivers like they do currently.

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

Well the GTA is much much larger and more populated than all those US cities' greater metropolitan areas, so why are you surprised? Per citizen though, many of those cities have more freeways per person, which is not surprising as the GTA public transit is excellent compared to all of those...

Speaking of that interchange, it was originally designed to incorporate the Richview Expressway. Note the "Brown's Line" SB to "Richview Expressway" EB directional ramp (vs loop ramp that was actually built) and the entire Richview/Martin Grove Interchange. The powers that be later decided to...

A lot of potential. Perhaps a preview of when the Gardiner East is converted to a "Grand Boulevard"?

Good luck getting an engineer to sign off on that terrible idea. Maybe in 30 years.

Indeed! Will be anxiously awaiting the "final" shots taken next Summer after the inevitable delays when the project is complete with new ramp and Harbour Street widened to 4 lanes.
