I’m jealous that’s going up in Vancouver and not here that building would fit perfectly at BAC North

I just hope for really well thought out retail for the area which could make or brake this area in the city as a full fledged destination or a rather sleepy neighborhood with parks.

I think it just might me the SOCO has become a node for it's specific quality of Office space and which Business Departments can be located there. Whereas in financial district there is more competition in terms of Office space quality and that may get translated in the design.

    Toronto The Residences of 488 University Avenue | 206.95m | 55s | Amexon | Core Architects

Exactly and with people still working in the building I can only imagine how many complex obstacles they have to deal with during construction. This isn’t going up like a normal from scratch building.

    Toronto Eaton Centre (Ongoing Renewal) | ?m | ?s | Cadillac Fairview | Zeidler

Man Eaton Center really needs to redo the entire Yonge street frontage. Those stores should have 2 entrances from inside and outside at Yonge st. It’s such a lost opportunity and it totally rips the life out of that section of Yonge.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Agreed that narrow passage and seats facing each other without sufficient leg space for both sides is a prevalent problem on the new street cars.

Jameson and King seems like a really awkward place to have a subway station.. I believe Queen and Landsdowne/Jameson probably has much more demand and development capacity.

    Toronto Sugar Wharf Condominiums (Phase 1) | 231m | 70s | Menkes | a—A

I'm guessing the buildings are place holders as the designs buildings look very different to the earlier renderings (minus LCBO which seems like it's the only one almost finalized since it's not cropped out). I hope a lot more is one at street level and the park is well integrated to the...

    Toronto Massey Tower Condos | 206.95m | 60s | MOD Developments | Hariri Pontarini

I wish there were taller towers north of Queen st. between Dundas or along Dundas. Would add more variation in the skyline.

    Toronto Oak House Student Residence | 75.55m | 23s | U of T | Diamond Schmitt

I know it’s early but that looks gross.. it reminds me of what happened to the “Campus One” building and how the design went to shit after NIMBY/city meddling.

Toronto CampusOne Student Residence (was University Place) | 79.85m | 25s | Knightstone | Diamond Schmitt

Does the property to the East of this have any developmental potential? I suppose if the East and West sides of this get blocked off by better developments this won't looks as bad because the front of this building is alright..
