    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Vancouver begs to differ. Urbanism and elevated rail work together. Besides its vast sfh and the row is wide enough. It was doable. You can't do a proper business case without actually reviewing the options. See the cost benefits. Right now its not even a 1 with a 60 year look out. There is a...

    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Oh they would but they'll have alot hard time stopping it and getting valuable sympathy points if they are protesting a public works project that is within civic row, versus their property expropriation. Look at the ontario line. Lesliville tried their hardest to stop the above ground option...

    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

What does a dip of yonge have to do with elevated rail thats on pillars which can be adjusted to height, hence making the rail with minial elevation change.

    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

The 3 buildings that they call historic, but moving the station to the plaza would solve that. The real issue is people don't want yonge narrowed. But if your getting a billion dollar transit infrastructure that's a concession the community would have to make.

    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

honestly this whole project is done very poorly. They could have easily elevated the whole extension saving billions of dollars and making the stations 100 million each instead of the 500 million they are charging. The extension would have been completed faster and the route could stay on Yonge...

Alexander The Great Parkette Revitalization (Greektown BIA, FFLA)

honestly looks great. Are there any night time renderings, or lighting plan, as i hope the fountain, and statue are all lit up at night. But so far looks great, give me hope the city isnt falling apart.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

So car culture created spread out suburban development which has all the infrastructure subsidized by older and more dense downtowns. For example dt Markham of old Richmond Hill town center contribute much more in property taxes per hectare than the same amount of land in any suburban area. The...

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

the signage at union station is done by the city of toronto. Metrolinx can only update the signage under their jurisdiction which would only include the platforms, york, and bay concourse. which if you have walked there, you would have seen that the metrolinx signage has already been updated...

Toronto GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Question: why didn't they just continue the concrete beam over the cp corridor or wallace?

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413

I would say toll 401 expess lanes keep collectors free. In exchange 407 has its tolls removed. The 401 express lanes are already access control so the set up would just require camera installation. This would result in the 401 and 407 routes being free, with people using 401 paying to bypass...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Honestly I think a solution would be to make it a policy that the second lowest bidder is chosen. Then contractor would be more confident putting in a realistic bid. If they just low ball it they won't get it. Makes it easier to be honest.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

The colours for station names will be the same as the colour dots on the map. Black/grey for normal station. Orange for transfer stations.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Ya I don't understand why the platform level station names aren't orange/colourfull. They only coloured them for transfer stations. Missed opportunity for some more colour.

Toronto GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Or they could have put in a transparent sound barrier. The issue i have is the guideway looks pretty small before the sound wall installation. But with the soundwall looks absolutely horrible. Plus they could have treated the concrete with a finish coating. The concrete is already leaking water...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Ya I agree, but in the future that opportunity will be gone as the populations changes. Im hoping they future proof it so it could be added later, but don't think they did so.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Shame the west entrance to the residential area was eliminated from the design. NIMBYS struck again, but more surprising Metrolinx gave in. Noticed they always listen to NIMBYS in York Region.
