Toronto Regent Park: Daniels Artworks Tower | 105.76m | 33s | Daniels | BDP Quadrangle

Yup - it's the missing detailing at the top of the front podium that I'm referring to. It's a small physical change, but visually I think it's a significant impact. That's part of what made it interesting in my opinion, but now that it's gone it just looks like any other dated brick building.

Toronto Regent Park: Daniels Artworks Tower | 105.76m | 33s | Daniels | BDP Quadrangle

Something about this looks.... really bland. I like that it's brick, but the overall shape/structure is so basic that the building looks dated before it's even built. It looked much better before when it had those protruding pergola looking brick elements coming out of the top of the podium...

    Toronto Craft Residences | 30.67m | 8s | Gairloch | BDP Quadrangle

Interesting! I think I like it?... it's different. But something about it also looks a bit dated in style. Maybe I should reserve my thoughts until it's actually built.

Globe & Mail: "Daniels partners with charity to create assisted-living apartment in Regent Park" https://www.theglobeandmail.com/real-estate/article-daniels-partners-with-charity-to-create-assisted-living-apartment-in/ (...without paywall) http://archive.is/XVtVS

    Toronto T3 Sterling Road | 52.52m | 11s | Hines | DLR

I wonder if their site is up to date... it seems to list 5 Defries as a "Completed Development"? Isn't that the pre-construction River & Fifth condo?

    Toronto T3 Sterling Road | 52.52m | 11s | Hines | DLR

I know they label it like that, but Floor 1 should hardly be considered part of the main gallery space... it's essentially just a gift shop (or gift nook i should say), Forno Cultura and some random 'flex space'. And given that Floor 4 is mainly studio space like you mentioned, it's pretty sad...

Agreed. Although I'd point out that the museum is sad primarily for reasons other than size...

    Toronto The Sterling Automotive | 69.2m | 19s | Lamb Dev Corp | a—A

Ah, that might be it - having everything along Ruttan would also adhere to Urbanation's description of "triangular" property. Although, that seems skinny, and with all the houses along Sterling, I'd imaging it must be difficult to build anything that high, given setbacks required, etc. (Though i...

    Toronto The Sterling Automotive | 69.2m | 19s | Lamb Dev Corp | a—A

Just noticed this from Urbanation: It appears Brad Lamb has closed on the sale of 1405 Bloor St. W. Not sure if it's the entire triangle of land between Bloor/Sterling/Ruttan? If so that looks pretty large, and should be interesting to see what the plans will be.

    Toronto KING Toronto | 57.6m | 16s | Westbank | Bjarke Ingels Group

@neuhaus , are you a realtor? Or would it be possible to share the floor plans with me? Really interested in this building, and I'd love to have a look to see what's available and how the units are designed.

Does anyone know how I might be able to get a hard copy of this document? I'm a huge fan of BIG and would love to get one of these books... I know they are probably only intended for successful purchasers in the building, but I would love to get a copy!

    Toronto House of Assembly | 61.85m | 17s | Marlin Spring | Graziani + Corazza

Stumbled upon this in Designlines Magazine: http://designlinesmagazine.com/condo-watch-the-modern-marketplace/ It's from July though, so I'm not sure how updated the renderings and information is.

    Toronto Bauhaus Condos | 110.9m | 32s | Lamb Dev Corp | a—A

Looks like the floor plans are up on the website. The West side units from floors 3-8 don't appear to have any Western facing windows, but rather, only from their south/north exposure. Check out the 2bed+den units: http://www.bauhaustoronto.com/floor-plans/#floorplan-18 There are 1300 sq ft...

    Toronto House of Assembly | 61.85m | 17s | Marlin Spring | Graziani + Corazza

Came across this: http://greybrook.com/realty/west-mrkt-friends-family-event/ The new project sounds like it'll be called "West MRKT"? According to the illustration in the "New Residential Phase launching May 2017" here (http://www.lowerjct.com), it appears that it will be located on the East...

Toronto West TWNS. at Lower JCT. | ?m | 3s | Castlepoint Numa | TACT Architecture

Ah okay, I wonder how long it'll take for these to get built. I suppose the MOCA would be ready first? It'll definitely make for an interesting change to the area once they're both completed.

Toronto West TWNS. at Lower JCT. | ?m | 3s | Castlepoint Numa | TACT Architecture

If they are clearing the site does that mean they won't be doing any digging? From the renderings above it looked like there are levels that are slightly below grade.

    Toronto 422 Wellington West | 14.33m | 2s | Allied | ERA Architects

According to this Brad Lamb email newsletter (http://h4b7a.emailsp.com/f/rnl.aspx/?mgd=uwvyt2:agf=txeg8=ts38&x=pv&79d=n2988fk6::i.-&x=pp&q20&x=pv&79d34f-NCLM), the rendering for "Wellington House" appears to confirm that this is indeed the location.

Interesting - I'd be curious to know what happened. Can you elaborate on what the major screw up was?

    Toronto Four Eleven King Condominiums | 149.04m | 45s | Great Gulf | KPMB

It seems like Core Architects have been reusing the same theme in all their designs, especially with the brick podiums. I don't know exactly how to describe it, but all the building seem to utilize the same rhythmic thick/thin staggered brick motif, just in different colours: The King East...
