It's kind of sad to see the ski hills close. I had so many great memories there as a kid, and the skiing instructors were great! Sadly, climate change is real.

Did they forget about the Downtown Parks & Public Realm Plan? It's not supposed to be just bike lanes, we're supposed to be seeing a complete reimagination of this street or a "grand promenade", according to the plan. This is what's supposed to happen... ... But all we see here are bike lane...

Sorry, but this is an earlier design from May 2019. We now have a new design with a strip of blue/green masonry bricks over the storefronts - and I think that's awesome!

They better use this amazing design for the new LRT bridges!

I agree with all of these points. We tend to forget that ultimately the developer approves the design, not the designer. Regarding David Pontarini, I think he has been in charge of some great projects, although I think that his faction of the firm doesn't have as much of a commitment to quality...

The way I see it, the firm is split into two factions. The one led by Siamak Hariri takes on very high-quality projects. The other one is led by David Pontarini, and they are the ones that work on condo projects. The variances in quality are very big in Pontarini's faction and I think are...

Unpopular opinion - none of the designs were good, although I favoured the first one.

* Design Review Panel (DRP) We have one city-wide DRP, the Waterfront DRP that operates within the Designated Waterfront Area, the Toronto Community Housing DRP, and the Metrolinx DRP (although no one knows what goes on there or whether it's still active).

Meh... much better than the previous one, but still nothing special. Tower isn't terrible, but the podium just doesn't create an urban environment.
