    Toronto Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

Sure, the Board can decide if they want them off or when they turn them on/off once the building is handed over to them, but it is indeed designed for the public - even though it's not part of the art component.

They just need to be dimmed a little bit, I can't see them bothering people like the flashing billboards at Yonge-Dundas into windows of condos miles away. These don't flash, and I can't see them being more troubling than most people experience in their home with street lights. Something that...

    Toronto CHAZ | 150.87m | 47s | 45 Charles Ltd | P + S / IBI

This has turned out better than I thought it would. You can see that some real thought and planning went into this building, and the form of the tower is pleasing. The materials, well, that brings it down a notch, but still more of a success than a failure. A pleasant addition to the...

    Toronto Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

Did I miss something? Who said these lights were bleeding into people's windows at Aura? Surely they were designed to be recessed so as to prevent any light bleeding into the windows. And what nearby neighbours are going to be disturbed by that amount of light so high up? Billboards are a...

    Toronto Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

They could/should be dimmed a bit. Turning off light features at 10 or 10:30 is absolutely ridiculous. What's the point if people can only see them in a two-hour window at night, at the times when most people are out & about, in the summer?

They went off at about 10:30. I was hoping "this was for real" this time.

This is the first time I've used my Canon in exactly a year - the last photograph on the SD disc was testing the Aura lights on July 24th 2014! Patience please, I need to get to know my Canon again.

    Church-Wellesley Village

RBC put up an "opening soon" sign in that window last summer for World Pride, then it came down a few months later. Same thing again this year just prior to Pride. In the other window a "RBC Happy Pride" sign. Nearest RBC is Yonge & Alexander St. (south of Wellesley).

Toronto St Regis Toronto Hotel and Residences | 281.93m | 58s | JFC Capital | Zeidler

I walked by last Sunday after spending the afternoon down at Queen's Quay and was amused by the plaque on the Bay Street side at street level commemorating "Night Line", dated 2012. Never noticed that before.

Toronto Toronto City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | Perkins&Will

Fantastic photos everyone! Access to the Peace Garden was fenced off the last time I was by, it looks just great! I do like the open space, it serves wonderfully for open-air events like the Jazz Festival, the market, World Pride, Pan Am and so much more. I was only lamenting last page about...

    Toronto Picasso Condos | 128.62m | 39s | Mattamy Homes | Teeple Architects

I saw this when I was down at the cinemas last week, it's a stunner! I hadn't been down that way in quite some time, I was surprised at all the new buildings around there in the past year & a half maybe two years, some very dramatic changes. But this is the one that really catches the eye and...

    Toronto Wellesley on the Park | 194.15m | 60s | Lanterra | KPMB

Me too, like 20 years. This was all originally part of the original Opera Place (Goldlist) condo development lands. The two buildings that were to go up here were to have many of the facilities for the five or six buildings. I have the master-plan from around 1995'ish somewhere, if I come...

    Toronto Casa | 147.52m | 46s | Cresford | a—A

Correction, the lights only flash red. Here are the deets on the Met's light feature, The Harbinger, which hasn't worked in at least three years - http://www.ledsmagazine.com/articles/2007/06/power-vector-mc-lights-contribute-to-harbinger-led-project.html

Toronto Toronto City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | Perkins&Will

I was by there on Monday & there was fencing up around that ugly PanAm Welcome Centre and the new building near the Queen/Bay corner. Walking around, thinking what should have been while choking on food truck fumes, really depressed me.

    Toronto Casa | 147.52m | 46s | Cresford | a—A

From my POV, both Murano have roof lighting feature lights burned out, CASA for about half a year, The Met's feature light has been pulsing red & blue for well over a year (and the wind feature hasn't worked in at least three years), RoCP has burned out lights - rooftop lighting is a great idea...

    Toronto Parkside Student Residences | ?m | ?s | Knightstone | Diamond Schmitt

The Primrose signs came down about two weeks ago but left an imprint on the concrete, which was cleaned up this week. Student residences are needed, this is good. I do wonder how they'll fill this in the summer, some student residences turn into hotel or hostels during that time to fill the...

    Toronto L-Tower | 204.82m | 58s | Cityzen | Daniel Libeskind

It still could have been achieved as a retail area of some size and condos above, the developer chose not to. With so many Dickinson buildings gone (or madly altered), I always thought the boot stomping on top of the Sony Centre was not-so-attractive, and certainly disrespectful.

    Toronto Ten York Street Condos | 224.02m | 65s | Tridel | Wallman Architects

My friends took me to Woodbine racetrack on my birthday a few weeks ago, coming home down the DVP was crazy with all the changes since I last came down a couple of years ago. I can't imagine what coming in on the Gardiner must be like. Ten York is sure to add more drama with it's design, and...

University Avenue - Toronto's Grand Avenue?

    Toronto U Condominiums | 183.79m | 56s | Pemberton | a—A

Everywhere I've been where these buildings are visible, they look terrific. Given these were planned back in the mostly uninspired time of condo design, they really turned out well.
