    Toronto Eight Cumberland | 170m | 51s | Great Gulf | a—A

The report indicates there will be some modifications requested by the city, and i expect height will be one of them.

    Toronto The Well | 174.03m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

Love the design of this development. I can't see any opposition to this in any way. The city should be happy with this one.

    Toronto Pinnacle One Yonge | 345.5m | 105s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

This was a massive development that was bound to change. No surprise. The density wouldn't fly with the city as the original renders showed anyway. Sit back, relax and wait for further renders to come. The podiums need work, but i'm sure there will be better refinements to come. This is years...

That's where you live? I was sure it was Mississauga. You lucky dog. I hope it snows in your valley.

    Toronto Eight Cumberland | 170m | 51s | Great Gulf | a—A

A lot of people will be just as upset when this gets cut down in size, which is inevitable.

A glass box infill. Nothing to get too excited about.

    Toronto Concord Canada House | 231.97m | 74s | Concord Adex | Arcadis

Take it for what it's worth, but Brad Lamb puts investor ownership at 50% and foreign ownership for 15% of that total. It appears their is no real clear picture, just estimates. http://www.bnn.ca/News/2014/8/14/Condo-King-debunks-CMHC-study.aspx

Here's to hoping the Gloucester Mews building is never touched. I assume it's on the protected list, but seeing as facadism has flourished in this town, it wouldn't surprise me if there was at some point an idea that would include it in a development.

    Toronto Panda Condominiums | 107.59m | 30s | Lifetime | Turner Fleischer

I'll bet the creative aspect boils down to economics. Creativity comes at a cost, and we need some developers willing to spend the cash to produce something outside the typical boundaries. As it stands there is no incentive to build creative condos, as they boring ones sell out anyway. There are...

    Toronto 88 Scott Street | 203.9m | 58s | Concert | P + S / IBI

Although it's not all that tall, this is one that i'm looking forward to seeing rise. It's not a complete square box from top to bottom. That alone is enough to grab my attention.

    Toronto Forma | 308m | 84s | Great Gulf | Gehry Partners

Good to hear things are turning in your favour, and yes it will be exciting to see these and others rise in the near future. I'll bet Ghery is working on some finishing touches and refinements before sales begin.

Bang on about food trucks. Toronto is soooo far behind the world in street food, it's become a pathetic laugh. The over governance of the new and better trucks, means you'll have a hard time finding one. Hamilton does it much better, and easier on the little business man.

    Toronto BMO Field Renovations | ?m | ?s | MLSE | Gensler

Ah, a hybrid surface. This must be something fairly new. Never heard of it before, because i never payed much attention to it. That would be much more durable for the Argos to play on. As it's already used by a couple of NFL clubs and lots of soccer clubs, i can see the Jays installing this in...

I also read it will have plastic grass. If that's the case, they've cheapened the whole upgrade.

    Toronto 100 Queens Quay at Sugar Wharf | 117.34m | 25s | Menkes | B+H

Ive read 2 different size figures. One was 5 acres, and the other 7.5 acres. 11 acres may include adjacent lands if there is any.

    Toronto 100 Queens Quay at Sugar Wharf | 117.34m | 25s | Menkes | B+H

Listening to the news, they expect to get in excess of $200. That is not out of reach by any means.

    Toronto Bay Adelaide Centre | 217.92m | 51s | Brookfield | KPMB

Have to agree with that. Another opportunity lost. It's not ugly by any means, it's just not much of anything.

    List of new approvals?

Is there a list of the 755 stories of new approvals by city council this past week? I can garner bits and pieces from searching, but some of it is speculation, and other bits appear to be fact. Building heights seem to vary, depending on the article.

    Toronto Concord Canada House | 231.97m | 74s | Concord Adex | Arcadis

Proposed 79 + 68 stories. There will be some pushback on the height, but Mirvish + Ghery have set a precedent. I suspect this will not be the final approved height.

    Toronto Living Shangri-La Toronto | 214.57m | 66s | Westbank | James Cheng

This technology can't be that new that Toronto is the test site. Is there any incidents happening in other cities? Maybe this is a climate issue with extreme cold to hot temperature swings. The other problem may just be inferior products being produced overseas to save money. If this is the...
