    400/401 Development (LFL Group, ?s, ?)

Spaghetti Junction Suites? Flyover Fields? The Residences of Heavy Rescue: 401? This site must have some of the worst air quality in the country from all the diesel truck traffic here.

    VIVA + York Region Transit

I'm also curious about Durham Transit connecting to the Cornell terminal. There's a lot of big warehouse and manufacturing employers opening along Highway 7 in Pickering (I believe the giant bakery alone will have 3,000 employees) so presumably there will be folks connecting through Markham.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I feel like any new stops on GO lines really need to connect to new transit lines to be justified. I'm fine with East Harbour and it's multiple connections and Finch-Kennedy will likely get connected to an extended LRT at some point (and connects to an existing busy bus route now), but GO...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

We should ban these animals (those fighting and crossing tracks) from GO permanently.

Toronto Pacific Business Centre | 10.67m | 1s | Forager Real Estate Partners Inc | Julian Jacobs

This is one of the last vacant lots in central Scarborough, glad to see it getting developed.

    Vaughan 3899-3901 Highway 7 | 126.47m | 38s | ARG Group | Cusimano

This is like the 905 equivalent of the Golden Mile where there's 35,000 units planned next to the above-ground section of Line 5.

    Vaughan VMC South Block B4 | 99.5m | 21s | SmartCentres | 3XN

Why such relatively low density right next to the subway? There are much taller buildings in VMC farther away from the station.

Why do all projects in Ontario outside of the GTA (and many within) have to be brutally ugly?

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Stouffville is now at 13, which is down from 16 in January. :-(

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

True, but both of these stations are barely across the border into either city. It will be a huge improvement, don't get me wrong, but there's still years of work left on both lines to fully service those cities.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Yes. We should prioritize projects as we have limited funds and a limited workforce. We should focus on existing plans before promising the world to every little city in Ontario.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Let's get proper 30-min all-day train service to Brampton, Markham, etc., before we start worrying about Cambridge of all places.

    VIVA + York Region Transit

My only thought is that with a number of large manufacturing and warehousing operations opening to the east along Highway 7 in Pickering, Highway 7 to Cornell Terminal might become a major route for DRT. I believe there are provincial plans to "twin" (or reroute?) the remaining two lane sections...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Does anyone know what work is being done on the Stouffville line this weekend (trains are cancelled again)? I think the last few times it was related to the fourth LSE track but it's only Stouffville that's shut down this time. Could it be the Highland Creek culvert? I'm not sure what else they...

    VIVA + York Region Transit

I really hope this gets funding. With the new York U campus opening this fall and more frequent GO train service to Unionville GO (next year? 2025?) there'll be much more to connect to -- so hopefully we get frequent service as well!

    Toronto 522 University | 232.92m | 62s | Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc | WZMH

Another classic Toronto Frankenbuilding. No other city I can think of has so many bizarre additions.

College Park 444 Yonge/33 College/777 Bay (renovations, Canderel, ground levels, WZMH)

The provincial public service may (I have no inside knowledge) also be vacating a lot of the office space in 777 Bay as there were plans to consolidate offices in the Macdonald Block Complex at Bay/Wellesley once those renovations are complete.

    Toronto 1117 Queen West | 102.4m | 29s | Queen Street Post Inc | Giannone Petricone

What will the cladding be? It kind of looks like the sheet-metal-type stuff you see on farm buildings and rural arenas, etc.
