Yeah, sure enough, as I was driving home from work today on the 403, I saw one go over the Mavis St. bridge. I instantly thought of the earlier post I made. It felt like I hadn't seen articulated buses in Mississauga for a long time.

Growing up in Oakville in the 90s, I always knew I was in Mississauga when I saw the "accordion" buses driving around. Shame Miway seems to have gotten rid of them all.

CP24 was interviewing the ATU President, and he said one of the sticking points was routes being contracted out. What does he mean by that? How do you contract out a bus route? Other buses from bordering cities picking up passengers?

Not a cyclist, so I'm ignorant on the subject. Why don't they just paint the cyclist sections green like they do up in York region? Drivers in the winter time are going to end up running over these things. Plus these dividers are probably going to end up getting hit by the the snow plows.

Precisely. It could have been extended later on. Going forward transit lines should be done in phases. The enormous size of this project is leading to a lot of issues.

Is it possible that MX is suffering from the effects of nepotism? Too many people in upper management, with no construction, rail or engineering experience, but were promised high paying/ low effort jobs for political favours?

Considering the amount of work they're doing on the western extension, that would be a very concerning scenario. This project would go down as one of the biggest waste of tax payer dollars in Canadian history. Can we just "re-do" this line? Rip everything apart and go back to the original plan...

Metrolinx should squash the rumours and provide an update.
