I've heard several rumors about this plot of land... the most prominent being (a) another condo complex/tower is going there and (b) an office complex is going there.... Sounds like the beginnings of the same Yonge & Sheppard congestion situation again...

There's already a brand new Shoppers that sells grocery items down the street - they won't put up another one a block away... But a Sobey's would be nice... so we can get decent produce etc; in one place (John Vince doesn't exactly sell good produce...) But yes, a nice coffee shop would be...

Welcome! Everyone's pretty helpful here :) I've not had any major issues with my kitchen appliances (knocks on wood), but the light in my oven went out only a couple of weeks after I moved in... I've not bothered to do anything about it as yet though so I don't know how forthcoming people are...

Isn't there already a Wild Wing just up Allen Rd near Steeles? Wow... they're really expanding... Yay for Subway! Does anyone know if the Shoppers is going to get a Post Office added on? I saw the Canada Post logo on their Grand Opening flyer and was hoping this is something that will...

Ah! It's the HST... totally forgot that condo fees would be affected by it. BTW on a different note, for those interested - the website for the complex was updated with a link for potential vendors and it shows the possible layout of the retail space in buildings 3 & 4...

heck... the last round the dude didn't even make an announcement... he just turned the PA on and was rummaging around with some papers or something while keeping the intercom on... not fun at 1:15 am in the morning when you gotta get up at 6am to go to work...

Ditto here. The hallways all sound like that too... I'm also hearing strange rattling noises in the ceiling on really windy days... I'm guessing this exterior air is also rattling stuff around there too.

I've just confirmed this with Sherry as well - it seems this is just recent that they've decided to allow this. I guess they heard a big stink about it from way too many people. They also offered me a lower rate so I guess I will be sticking with TD for at least the 5 year term.

Has anyone already got their mortgage set up already? When I was going over things with a rep at ING, they were saying that if our building is expected to be registered in December sometime, it's probably better to get all of the paperwork in order as they might announce registration at...

Regarding TD Collateral Mortgage: I've not heard back from Sherry yet, but just reading the general info about this that's out there, It's not looking very appealing... here is an article by Garth Turner that will probably turn you completely away from TD...

I met up with one of the builder's mortgage specialist in the sales office a week or so ago, and she mentioned that things are on schedule for the buildings to be registered by sometime in November. I also asked her about closing costs - mentioning that I was told before that about 3% of the...

Thanks for the reply. Actually I've gotten all of my first 'bills' already - both the cable and land line show a break down of charges & minus charges equalling to 0 (including the $2.99 digital service fee for the TV) for the promotion, however I just got my internet bill and while the service...
