I was just told they were mailed out on Oct 31st - so maybe by end of week?

Thank you~!! LOL - you find out so much more by coming here than going after the builders... how bad (on Liberty's part) is that?

For those who've received their property tax refund assessment letters from Liberty - do you know if the 'witness' signature at the bottom needs to be a lawyer? Or can it be anyone (family, friends etc;) that can account for your identity/signature? It's taking forever to hear back from Liberty...

We were also given a breakdown upon closing of all of the fees/costs we have paid or yet to pay up until that point. Looking at that sheet last night, I actually saw the exact amount that the builder was taking from us that went towards property tax from our Occupancy fees. Obviously, this...

I just got my letter from Liberty - and it seems like a ridiculously small amount :( And they don't even give you a break down of how they are calculating this amount that the are deducting. I'm itching to argue, but at the same time I wonder if arguing will even do anything...

I completely agree. It sounds like a load of crap. So they deducted $250 from the total to be refunded to you for this?

By email. When I called Liberty to ask how abouts I was to do this, I was instructed to send everything via email - so I had to scan to PDF my tax bills. This worked out better anyway though as I have their response in writing. If you faxed, try calling them to confirm they received it - they...

Yes. They said they will send a letter next week outlining the refund/reimbursement - I sign the letter and send it back if all is okay, and they said they send a cheque "right away".

Thank you for the info! I've sent all the info to them and hopefully they won't take too long to reimburse us for the amount we paid during occupancy. I agree with what's written above though - it seems the assessed value is lower than what Liberty assumes and is charging - as the calculations...

Just noticed that a crane has also gone up on the Kodiak Cres. side of the building... :( But it doesn't seem to be a very high crane - so hopefully it's just there for the same reason - so they can get all that stuff laid out on the parking lot out/in easier/faster... Hopefully it's not...

Count me in too. Only the glass was slightly cleaned, none of the frames or tracks were cleaned - but what annoyed me was (a) they left lots of trash on my balcony and (b) they left my balcony door unlocked and slightly open - bunch of idiots.

Totally agree. On top of a decent grocery store, a post office would be nice (not like it matters at the moment :P)... I thought they would be making one inside or next to the Shoppers... but no news of that yet. And a TD Bank would be awesome... Has anyone heard of any more news about the...

I find it to be so... I mean, on an average 25 degree day, without A/C it generally climbs to about 26-27 degrees inside the unit without A/C on - and that's WITHOUT doing any cooking etc; (i.e. after coming home that's the temp it's at). Having lived in an apartment with no A/C up till now...

I had the same problem as the person who commented above. I thought it was just because I'm on the upper floors and all the ridiculous heat from yesterday afternoon just takes a while to clear. Called the management office - and apparently the A/C was powered down due to a series of power...

Yeah... that and 2 x maintenance fees that went towards the reserve fund. Ahh... I see... it makes sense now, but oh pooh :( If the 25th deduction was for the month of January, they should've taken it out earlier in the month... soon after the New Years holiday...

My bank actually suggested that I do this as they warned me that it could take a year or two before the city actually accesses the property and sends you a bill (though I already knew about this from warnings from friends). It is definitely a good idea as it's inevitable that they will just drop...

Yes - do be careful about this and look out for it when you finally do get your property tax bill. This happened to a friend of mine last year, and I belive once she showed that she had paid property tax during her interim she was reimbursed and the matter was corrected. I'm not sure what the...
