    TTC: New Fare Gate Installation

St. Patrick station has begun the process of installing new fare gates in conjunction with the construction of elevator access. Half of the fare entrance area has been closed and enclosed with hoarding. The other half has had its old fare gates removed and replaced with a single Presto reader...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

I still encounter occasional confusion from TTC drivers regarding Presto. Last week when I boarded a bus with an inoperative front Presto reader the driver told me to exit at the subway and tap on there rather than tapping on the functioning rear Presto reader. His understanding was the rear...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Tapped my Presto card on the 192 Rocket from Pearson today. So nice to feel increasingly free of "token" servitude. Saw a couple of other people tap on as well.

I wonder if UPX reimburses passengers if they miss a flight due to an at fault problem.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Looks like there has been some minor changes on the TTC Presto fare gates implementation schedule page. Previously each station had the approximate point of the month (e.g. early May, mid June etc.). Now most of them merely state Spring 2016. Runnymede originally had mid June and now it...

Yeah, it's pretty pathetic. Describing it as incompetence would be kind. One wonders what sorts of discussions they've had with Crossways. In another 5 years time Crossways will have an opportunity to increase the value of their property and it will cost the taxpayer more to expropriate.

Here is 8 Spruce with some context from its surroundings. I'm confident that our Gehry will leave a considerable impression.

Becoming more and more impressive to my eyes. Boring is definitely one adjective that does not apply.

Miscellany Toronto Photographs: Then and Now

It just came to me, the camera store I was referring to was Jerry's Camera. Yeah, there are a number of great camera stores that have gone by the wayside like Toronto Camera, 8 Elm Photo, your aforementioned Alt and Broadway Camera that was bought by Downtown Camera.

Miscellany Toronto Photographs: Then and Now

The southeast corner of Yonge and Dundas was a great eclectic corner for shops. There used to be a tiny camera store that I used to visit all the time just south of that corner that I've forgotten the name of.
