Browsing the Bay St. Corridor and other 'core' downtown areas for 1bdrm and 1bdrm + den units the past 2 months (Dec.2012) ... 1) Where do people find listings? MLS is laughable ... viewit.ca is pretty bad. I checked Kijiji / Craigslist once and then had a moment of self reflection ...

The difficult part is finding those experienced people in those local regions - there are more than their fair share of scammers who would like to take a foreigner for a ride because they do not know any better. There is an opportunity here for people who are experienced in purchasing foreign...

I like it. FYI, floor plans are up on redpin and do not look that bad. Pricing from $560 - $670 sqft.

Pro: New buildings by a reputable developer to freshen up those, ahem, 'ghetto' complexes at the North West side of Islington & Cordova. Con: Apartments. Would of been nice to see more condo development around this area. EDIT: Yeah, scratch that ... according to the Official Plan above...

Oh, well that's going to gentrify the area right up.

There will be buyers all the way down. No crash. No correction. Just a gradually and drawn out 'slide', if any. More likely price stagnation.
