Can I get a bail out too? I lost some money in stocks that I invested in. It's only fair if we all get bailed out.Hi everyone, I’m looking to connect with fellow buyers of the Alias condos (Madison group). A few of us have started a private group to share info, closing strategies, and support (legal, mortgage, etc.) as we get closer to occupancy. If you or someone you know is an owner, send me a message and I’ll add you in!
The developer said early on that they had agreed to buy the building and fix it up, including keeping the pub. I guess that fell through.real spite house vibes there. Love it.
They are constructing a roof access shed on the pub and it appear like there are some interior renovations underway. Not sure if it is the owners or the developer
What do you mean 'reconsider'? It's entirely up to the developer whether they're provided. You also can't just make a balcony interior space as it's excluded from the GFA calculation and plate size.New condos should seriously reconsider the default use of balconies. In colder climates balconies turn into bird toilets and sad furniture storage —unused for much of the year, difficult to maintain, and prone to deterioration. Minimal balconies, Juliet balconies, or no balconies at all make far more sense. The space can be used much more efficiently inside the unit, improving layouts and livability. Well-designed landscaped shared patios and rooftop terraces are a far better alternative.
My wording was not very clear. I simply meant the architects/builders should opt out of traditional balconies. Balcony infills/conversions may also be beneficial for existing balconies but likely not feasible. What do you mean 'reconsider'? It's entirely up to the developer whether they're provided.
