It’s not art without the 2nd tower. That second tower made Gehry’s design xtra-touristy, monumental, grand, must see-special. Now it’s just a shiny, lonely ho-hum solo steel structure in his Canadian hometown. “Paused” also should not mean dead. Market most likely will rebound in this global metropolis especially with upscale, high end, high quality offerings. If 30 Bay St “The Hub” is now alive & kicking, don’t listen to the naysayers-they really don’t know.

The hotel market seems to be really hot, and it's hard to imagine a better location than this for one, nor better marketing potential for a hotel than to say it's in Gehry's last masterpiece. If I were Great Gulf, I'd be trying to see if I could find a hotel partner and convert a large part of the project to hotel space.
