Looks like you timed it right as they were fitting new tie-ins for the crane the pictures that have been taken of this building over the course of the last 4 years should give a lot of people pride in their skill as photographers because every single day somebody on this site puts up one bad ass photo

I imagine the loading off Balmuto will serve as the interior construction route once the building envelope is closed and there won't be any need for hoardings on Bloor and Yonge.

Some people has been saying the crown is going to take a longer time to complete. I will not be surprised for this to continue till Fall.

That’s probably a fair assessment. I can see the sidewalk cleaned up before Christmas. I’m sure they’re motivated to get that retail space opened by the holiday shopping season. They’ve already missed out on a decade in retail rent. Is the hotel chain the same one that this project started with?

Do we know if residential interior fittings are already taking place? I haven’t followed the latest on the real estate but if previous condo sales are getting revoked as has been rumoured, they’ve probably stopped putting up interior walls if they don’t know what walls to put up.

There's a weird convention for english that many things that are built are assigned female pronouns (ships, cars, buildings, bridges). Historically, the reason for ships and cars is because of connection to a mother-figure goddess, but why she is used for buildings as well... no idea

Toronto looks positively Soviet Eastern Bloc right now.

I don't mean to be mean or cynical, but I'm trying to figure out the appeal of living at Yonge & Bloor. You've got the mink mile I suppose - which always feels like it's under various states of construction, is a bit run down or has a bit of homeless population vibe to it. You've got Yorkville to the north which I suppose is the biggest draw. You're close to the ROM. You're on two subway lines (although I feel the residents of One Bloor aren't really the transit types.) I don't know I just don't get it. For that kind of money I feel like I'd be buying somewhere else in Toronto. I mean Yonge Street from Bloor south is pretty much District 9. Bloor running eastwards isn't really anything. Really don't get the appearl. It likes to bill itself as the centre of the city, but that's not even accurate, that's actually Yonge & Eglinton geographically speaking. What am I missing here?

I noticed that Mink Mile generally went downhill after Pottery Barn closed. Now Pusateris closed.

I think from Bathurst & St Clair to Yonge & St Clair is the prime upscale transit-oriented location.
