Toronto Garrison Crossing (was Fort York Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge) | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | Pedelta

They are still there, and you can see the changes, floor-to-floor in the concrete slab edges, if you look closely.

In any case, this is the Garrison Crossing bridges thread, not the Garrison Point condo thread, which you'll find here.

/\ Elements of the bridge structure itself are nice but the hands are aggressively tacky.

Open question: does anyone know when the second lift is here? It was rumored for 'September' but AFAIK, no firm date was given.

October 2018 update:

Garrison Crossing’s northern bridge span was hoisted into place in the early hours of Saturday, July 28. The second and final bridge structure, the southern bridge, is scheduled to be hoisted into place in the early hours of Saturday, October 13.

Once completed, the bridge will create a vital connection linking the parks system from Trinity Bellwoods Park in the north to the Fort York grounds in the south. The northern bridge structure is 52 metres in length and spans from the South Stanley Park extension over the Kitchener rail corridor and lands on the north side of the Ordnance Triangle. The 49-metre southern bridge structure will span from the south side of the Ordnance Triangle over the Lakeshore West rail corridor and will land in Garrison Common on the Fort York grounds.

The southern bridge structure will be lifted into place by a Demag CC2800 (SSL) – a 660-ton crawler crane that will be assembled onsite. The hoisting of the southern bridge structure may cause noise from midnight to 5 a.m. during the morning of October 13. We appreciate your patience during this time.

Even if they finish the bridge before the new year, I've always assumed it would be a while before it opened. Ordnance Triangle is still a construction site and the forthcoming south Stanley Park extension is still a City of Toronto Works yard.
