    Trees for T.O. Streets please.

I've often wondered if they prefer keeping trees in coffins so the roots don't hit pipes and cause more problems. I'm all for free range trees though ;)

    Trees for T.O. Streets please.

I know this is a really old thread, but those interested in trees for Toronto might be interested in these two blog posts: Income inequality, as seen from space And a take on that same tree canopy issue in Toronto.

From inside the building looking west to the construction. The scaffolding there looks like it's for an elevator shaft.

Forum Issues Since Relaunch (Jan 20, 2010)

I'm going to echo the cries of changing the header. It's way too wide and it does look amateurish. Another aesthetic point that's been mentioned above and bothers me enough that I feel the need to mention it again is that it's rather hard to discern between posts. There's not enough of a...

    Queen W & Portland fire

Foundation work Foundation work is currently being done on the eastern most lot. I can't tell if it's for the building that still stands or for a new structure.

Progress? Just noticed today that the area is being cleaned up by some crew. Anybody have any ideas on what's developing along here?

    Roncesvalles Reconstruction

I guess they're still on schedule in terms of the 2010 completion then. I really can't wait for the new streetscape - especially the bike lane.

Bells on Bloor - A bike ride for bike lanes on Bloor Street

Sorry I missed this, it looked like a lot of fun. Were cops there? They ruined critical mass on Friday :( Hope they didn't do the same for this ride.

Pic Here's a pic I just snapped today. It's not in the photo, but on site they have some machine that eats bricks... and, well I guess, there's a joke to insert here.

OCAD U: Sharp Centre for Design (Will Alsop) COMPLETE

I've seen the renders for what OCAD wants to do to 100 McCaul and their building on Richmond and they look really neat! They want to put a digital screen beneath the Alsop block that would be great to see - but I doubt the people across the street would appreciate it.

I love the shadow of the CN Tower in this shot. The shadow will look even better when the building is taller.
