Time and Space Condos (Pemberton) - Real Estate -

I think consumers have power. Uber drivers probably think their customers hate cyclists too. Consumers need to communicate clearly their expectations.

Time and Space Condos (Pemberton) - Real Estate -

Hey - can you all tell your Uber drivers not to park in the bike lanes on Sherbourne. Thanks.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

It’s like they’re in survival mode, abandoning anything they’d consider not “run state” circa 2002. Not sure Rick even knows what a feed is.

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

lol, I'm sure some new signals will help... Drivers have realised that they have the power and they don't need to actually respect the City's poor planning. Sad, but a good wake-up call for the bureaucrats.

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

Yet another signal that King is not King and that it is unreliable and not a priority even from the City's perspective: https://stevemunro.ca/2023/12/03/yet-another-king-diversion/ This city really does not understand behaviour and psychology.

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

Really? I wonder. Living on King (at least on the east side), it seem it is mostly: - pick-up trunks (who don't care about anything) - service trucks - couples/carpoolers with mouths agape trying to get to the mall - cabbies I'm sure some Ubers too. King hasn't run consistently for most of...

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

It’s going to get worse before it gets better. Do yourself a favour and get a bike or take Ubers for a few months. The city and all its institutions have proven to be utterly incompetent with this matter.

Roads: Gardiner Expressway catch-all, incl. Hybrid Design (2015-onwards)

Since we're all just giving opinions based on personal anecdotes and feelings, I say keep it and let drivers swallow themselves in their concrete prison lol. It's only going to get worse, not better, to drive.

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

It makes sense if the traffic isn’t there esp M and F. Also, the more they cancel trains and the more people drive or take TTC, this end of union becomes less of a destination.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I wonder what it would take for us to handle these situations appropriately: I think drivers are collectively realising en-masse that if none of them follow the rules, they win.

    Toronto PATH Retail

The writing is on the wall for FiDi. RBC thought all the banks would follow their lead, they did not. Even urbanists here want to work from home all the time. A decade of tough transitions is coming.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Any rumours on when Stouffville and Barrie off-peak/weekend service are coming back?

RapidTO: Citywide Streetcar Priority (City of Toronto, TTC)

Um. I don’t think car ownership is only for the wealthy lol.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

This will trigger people, but people aren’t coming back downtown in the droves the city needs to keep things going. Even Dave McKays mandates aren’t enforceable as this would deplete their workforce. There is no behavioural incentive to get people back on transit to come downtown. Everyone’s...
