The problem is that the drivers coalition is a drivers first transit last group. So the transit priority is so down the list for the city it's ridiculous. What's even more crazy that they built this massive project on Eglinton with car transit signals to operate these trains. Crazy.
If they did that, then it cost billions to fix every platform and order high floor trains. Unless they treat it like the GO train where the platforms don't even match the train height.
I believe when this opens something will have to give from the public and the TTC will be forced to change their speed models. The whole point of these projects was to get more bang for your buck. And if that fails then best believe they (TTC) will see very angry customers coming their way.
What's crazy is that even if GO finishes electrifying some of the lines, They'll have to rip up these station platforms just to have them be level platform ready.
Beautiful. I hope they put barriers to block ppl from driving on the streetcar side of the new cherry street bridge, because we all know how drivers are in Toronto these days that seem to have ordered their drivers license off of Amazon smh.
The problem with the waterfront East plans is that it can't afford to wait anymore. The amount of condos going up from QQeast down to Bayside is alarming and there's no TTC service around that area except for the 6 Bay bus. The "if you build it they will come" is being applied here and the...
