According to a report on the TTC Board agenda, "It is projected that Revenue Service Demonstration would be completed in October, and that Substantial Completion would be achieved in early November. [...]
Once Revenue Service Demonstration is completed, the TTC will perform another cohort of...
Just so everyone knows what AM peak service levels were back in January 2020 pre-pandemic:
34 Eglinton East : every 4 minutes (15/h) to Don Mills, every 6 (10/h) to Kennedy Station
54 Lawrence East: every 4'30" (13.3/h) to Leslie
51 Leslie: Every 20' (3/h) to Leslie
56 Leaside: Every 10' (6/h)...
The east-west crossing routes are relatively infrequent, but they have nearside stops and so their interaction with the signals is completely different. What is needed is the "sense" in signal controllers that there is an approaching streetcar *and* space on the farside platform so that...
A few points worth noting here. If there were excessive delays that removing stops at Sussex and Willcocks would solve, you would see a lot of horizontal lines at those locations, but they aren't there. The big problems come with lack of true priority at the major intersections compounded by the...
The switches in that part of the yard are manual and cannot be activated remotely. It is possible that with snow packed in the switch, the points were not completely set in the intended direction. Also, these switches can be driven through in the trailing direction without being manually...

The planning for the new routes is in place, and they have probably designed most of the schedules, subject to tweaks from service changes that may have happened in the interim. (For example a service improvement on a route affected by Line 5 that was implemented after the new, post-line-5...
The TTC has just announced that Queen cars will begin operating via the Richmond/Adelaide diversion on Sunday, November 10.

For accuracy, the TTC posted a new notice (there are four at last count) listing the Church/King/Spadina diversion as running to "mid November". The previous date was "November 3".
Notice saying Nov 3...
The water main is from York east to Victoria. That's why they are doing the streetcar track west from York to Charlotte now. The eastern part and the York Street connection to Queen will be done under a separate contract in 2023. That one will be a Metrolinx contract, so who knows how badly they...
