I agree! honestly I wouldn’t mind seeing this type of building everywhere in Toronto😂 beats the grey and black all over the city. This photo shows what I’m talking about.

Way better than the original plan in terms of architecture and height. It’s more appropriate for the location and I’m glad they didn’t go with the usual gray black or white

So what ended up happening with the proposal next to this building? I remember hearing a while back that it was supposed to make the the developers of this project buy the property or air rights or something to secure the view. Did they ever come to an agreement, and is that why construction’s...

Yes, but location matters. Three 100-meter-tall buildings in the middle of a residential neighborhood where the max height is 12 meters isn’t ideal. Instead of that, we could build a couple of 6-story apartments that wouldn’t disrupt the character of the neighborhood while still housing the same...

Toronto’s all about preserving heritage sometimes to the point of preventing development for entire neighbourhoods. but they don’t allow new projects to actually resemble the character of the neighbourhood. I mean, just look at the contrast between the red Victorian brick of those houses and...

I’m always glad when developers choose brick over those black and white stripe facades that are all around Toronto

Same I feel like brick would’ve been perfect for this building. Especially with the shape idk how to describe it but there are many buildings in nyc similar to this one.

wish other developers would realize that people prefer this over a gray/glass building!!!
