Miway won’t be involved in any of the LRT operations, it’s entirely with with P3 consortium for the Hurontario LRT. I hope that this enables better decision-making unburdened by public sector malaise.
My understanding is that it isn’t a Federal regulation rather a best practice where MX doing things that limits the ability to detour on their lines upsets the Class 1s and makes other things like increasing service on freight lines harder during negotiations. Correct me if wrong.
Having the ENTIRE Kitchener Central Transit Hub funded (Phase 2 being the massive modern station building) is excellent news. It will be the nicest GO station not in Toronto!
