Having a proper, grand, Union Station contributes so much to Toronto as a city. Not perfect, but we'd be way worse off if we got Penn Station'd. Next, let's bring Summerhill / North Toronto Station back to the use God intended for it: rail, not a liquor shop.
I am sure that Alstom would fire up production of the Flexity Freedoms if a large enough order from Toronto/Ontario was requested. Also Hyundai Rotem also makes a similar tram, which seems to have similar door placements, which will be sharing tracks with Flexity Freedoms on the Edmonton Valley...
At the Line 5 presser the Province held this past Friday, the Premier and Transport Minister stated emphatically the west extension was actually running ahead of schedule. Let’s see if that holds, but generally that’s positive news.
