The project to bring the second track and platform at Kennedy GO into service was removed from the CPG pipeline document between the September and December 2025 updates.

I thought I originally posted this in the GO Construction thread, so I'm moving my comparison of the CPG file over there.

Several projects pushed out to late 2026, including the Mount Joy passing track and Stouffville GO turnback signal, or removed all together from the latest Dec 1 CPG file...
It’s a signal that allows trains to return trip south from Stouffville without going all the way to Old Elm.
I believe the second platform/passing track at Mount Joy station is required as well.
I’ve been looking forward for this contract to be awarded on MERX as it’s been in the CPG Pipeline...
The Mount Joy second platform/passing tracks is labelled as under construction in these slides. I haven’t seen any early works let alone construction. The September CPG list stated this project wasn’t even going to be RFP until the end of this year.
I do love this slide deck though.
I do enjoy these two talking points being presented by the same person at the same board meeting:
One board document (the slides for Rapid Transit projects) state Finch LRT will be in service Dec 7.
Another board document (the write up memo for Rapid Transit projects) states the opening date...
Whatever construction they did over the weekend seemed to have created signal issues this morning at the Finch grade separation and near Danforth GO, which meant I had to catch an earlier train. I was not able to take clear photos on my iPhone, but I have a video. I’ll figure out how to attach...
While nowhere near as exciting as kotsy’s photos I saw work crews, including excavators, doing what I presume to be SOGR maintenance on the ST line in Markham and Stouffville while doing errands today.
I will take some photos of West Highland Creek and the Finch grade separation on my Monday...
I'm speculating that the retaining wall work is preparatory work to constructing the culvert and eventually getting the line double tracked through Agincourt.
After what feels like 2 years with minimal progress on this culvert, I'm not going to let perfect get in the way of any incremental...
The community email that went out, which was shared in the GO Service Thread, said there will be construction on the Stouffville line between Sheppard and the 401, which suggests the West Highland Creek area. There will also be work completed on the Finch grade separation...
The Highland Creek culvert cannot come fast enough. The 3-4 hour delay some experienced getting home today on the Stouffville line could have easily been avoided if a second track was in service where the train broke down.
Redundancy is a lesser talked about benefit of GO Expansion, but clearly...
