I would prefer it in black.
I quite enjoy the look of the “newer” stations on the ST line.
I find the snowmelt system built into the platforms a practical perk of using Old Elm, Unionville, Milliken etc. No salt needed in the winter.
They’re installing a fourth track to initially be used to store rail equipment in the corridor. Eventually the fourth track will enter revenue service.
Yes, for the weekend.
gotransit.com summary of the weekend’s construction activities state the time was used to run new sewer lines and other utilities under the tracks apart of the grade separation project.
Additionally, retaining walls along the corridor were inspected apart of SOGR work...
Finch Grade Separation. I believe this is looking north from the road (assuming the buildings to the right are Access Storage).

The City of Toronto and the TTC were able to take advantage of low traffic and ridership to speed up projects.
Seizing opportunities before they slip through your fingers comes down to the ability to quickly change execution of your strategy, redo your budget and how assertive vs. passive the...
The LSE line is completely shut down this weekend too. Quite often, both ST and LSE major weekend closures are in sync. The removal of all weekend service on the ST during the pandemic was blown opportunity (50 to 100 major weekend closures) to make the ST have any possible pilot project...
This weekend’s closure has been on the construction notices of gotransit.com since at least January. The construction notices for all lines has dates scheduled out to August since at least March.
My anecdotal experience supports yours and Northern’s argument. My 8:09 Unionville to Union train on the ST line was standing room only following the RTO mandates in autumn 2025. Thankfully I board further north, so I always get a seat but it meant stepping over people sitting on stairs to exit...
There will be “maintenance” on retaining walls in the Stouffville corridor.
At 4:30pm today piles were being dropped off at West Highland Creek. Big upgrades? I doubt it. Annoying busy work on a years delayed project? Sure.
I want to be wrong.
I’ll eat my hat if the April major weekend closure is the start of building a proper retaining wall to support the construction of the second track south of Agincourt GO.
The project data was scrubbed from the autumn 2025 GO Expansion update to the City of Toronto, but the 2024 update stated a...
I’m going to lay out sections of third and fourth track that need to come online before they can fully go into service. Perhaps summer 2028? I may be missing some details on the following path dependencies.
USRC to East Harbour station
- The 3rd track needs to be reinstalled as you cross the...
In the last 12-18 months has there not been significant turnover in Metrolinx management?
CEO out. New head of CPG. Half a dozen managers involved in Eglinton Crosstown let go around the time Verster fired etc. I think the mindset of everything will be better if [only a new CEO, new Premier...
