    Toronto 66 Wellesley East | 120.79m | 36s | MOD / Montez | DSAI

I live very close to this proposal and was excited about the idea of a grocery store in the previous proposal. But sidewalk cafes in the new one would be lovely. And the gay community loves outdoor swimming pools. I'm hoping for new bars and community gathering establishments at the base of the...

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Incorrect. Ontario Line trains will be 3m wide. From the Business Case: I see no indication that has changed.

Conjecture on my part: I think this is a situation like the crosstown construction, where their jurisdiction is only for the sections they plan to teardown and build on. The bike path seems to be hugging the viaduct and underneath the station. So I would not be surprised that's as far as their...

Just got an email titled Notice of Passing from the city. Does passing thru by law means it's approved?

I looked at the site that I think you are referring to. "Scarborough Busway (Line 3 Bus Replacement)" is what they are calling the new BRT right-of-way. Note, it is not a single line. It will be multiple bus lines that will use the busway to speed up service.

https://www.insauga.com/1-6b-is-the-cost-to-build-city-centre-lrt-loop-in-mississauga-premier-ford/ Article from the same Board of Trade breakfast meeting. This one reports Ford saying that the loop will cost about 1.6B on top of the 4.6B for the existing project.

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I think you are giving too much benefit to a troll's posts. He does not take into account finite things like budgets, logistics, politics, etc. What I see is wishful thinking with no thought, just wants. If the Ontario gov could get the crosstown extention to the airport, they would have. They...

    Montréal Transit Developments

I do appreciate your insights and almost always agree with you. But this one seems like a stretch. Yes, appropriating the tunnel did hamper Montreal's suburban trains; yes, technically, what you said about it going over budget is true. Yes, it currently breaks down in winter sometimes. But...

Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | Metrolinx

All the stations on the Doha Metro have platform screen doors. The second photo is AI. Third photo looks to be Msheireb station, but it is too blurry to tell if it is real. The last photo with "UAE Exchange" on the sign is actually a station on the Dubai Metro Red Line. That terminal station...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

I remember seeing Wellesley Street East upgrades on the map, but it is not mentioned in the motions above. What happened to it?

Waterloo Region Transit Developments (ION LRT, new terminal, GRT buses)

It does look slightly different. Look at the right side. The new one has the glass at the front going up to the upper floor, unlike the previous design. It is too grainy to see any other differences. I wonder what else has changed and whether the bike ramp survived.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I think this is relevant here. Someone posted on Reddit about the Line 9 tramline in the Paris area. It is exactly the same length at 10.3km. Has 19 stops. and can do the end to end trip in 32min. (scheduled at 30min) Look in this video at how aggressively they drive the trams. There seem to be...

Bonaventure Station? First time I hear of Bridge-Bonaventure Station. It seems it was requested by the city a year ago. CBC says reports that the CDPQ wants to build both at the same time to minimize disruption. But the Province is still looking into it financing-wise.
