    Ontario Northland/Northern Ontario Transportation

I've been here (well Usenet at least) for 35+ years, and I've not heard that one before. /s looks like strikeout to me .... we even use it here! [/s]! I like <sarcasm> ... </sarcasm>.

Homelessness on the TTC (catch all)

I'm not sure why - that's pretty all encompassing, and really does it matter if the category isn't 100% right? It's not like they send an ambulance rather than fire ...

    Billy Bishop Airport Expansion?

I'm not sure what the point of the islands would be then, much of the year, with no one living there. In January, probably about popular as Leslie Spit - perhaps less so with it being difficult to get to.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Ah - I hadn't realised that the sale included the track north of Northfield. My apology!

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

That's assuming the staircase/escalators come out above the top of the station. If you angle in from the side, then this can be reduced - significantly depending on how deep the station is. 450 metres is not that much farther than the 330 metres from Leslie to the Richmond Hill go tracks - if...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

How would that ever be mor economical than continuing to run the regular bus? The railway track is not municipally-owned. Nor is that tourist train service.

The Increasingly Exorbitant Cost of (Transit) Infrastructure

Surely the bogies, which I don't think had been used anywhere else in the world.

    Billy Bishop Airport Expansion?

Which part of the claim do you not subscribe too? Toronto is a child of the province. Province doesn't need to expropriate. Though ridding themselves of the tenancies is a different issue.

    RapidTO: Master Thread

Or the snow just melted naturally. I don't think it tells us anything without knowing the dry times under low temperatures. And much more importantly - the durability relationship with temperature.

Dundas West/ Bloor Mobility Hub +interconnected hub network (Metrolinx)

As I said, not every entrance has to be accessible. Every station has to be accessible - but if the station has, for example, 3 entrances; only one has to be accessible.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I'm surprised there isn't a plan to expand hourly LW service from West Harbour to Centennial. It's not you that's crazy here ... I guess they outsourced map-making to overseas as well.

Alto - High Speed Rail (Toronto-Quebec City)

It's all going to circumstances. If it's just me, and my destination is in the Métropole, I'll invariably take the train (or fly sometimes). If I've got 4 people, the pricing will push me to drive. But if my destination is in the Laurentians, the last-mile issues push me to driving.

Dundas West/ Bloor Mobility Hub +interconnected hub network (Metrolinx)

I doubt it would exempt them from anything - but station accessibility doesn't generally require that all entrances be accessible. You don't even see that in new subway stations - Avenue station comes to mind :)!

Homelessness on the TTC (catch all)

More, why use "left wingers" as a prejudiced slur? Like right-wingers, it's not a monolith. Some left-wingers would deal with homelessness by sending them to the Gulag, and mental problems by even worse. Given there's been right-wing control of Toronto council for much of the last...

Alto - High Speed Rail (Toronto-Quebec City)

You've heard "stories" of people running through a train station to catch GO???? Stories?? I'm not sure how that's different for VIA trains or planes. I've certainly run for enough VIA trains and planes over the years.
