The NFL stadiums aren't really getting a pass though. A few of them had to renovate in order to make room for field width that FIFA requires. SoFi in LA was one of them. There were actually a few cities that backed out of bidding because of that.

I've been to 3 or 4 soccer games at SkyDome and the atmosphere isn't bad if the attendance is good. The roof was closed for the 2 TFC games as they were winter games. I believe the only game Beckham played in Toronto was at the SkyDome
