I sure hope this marks a change in the TTC's attitude towards passengers having to push the button on streetcar doors to open, instead of unnecessarily wearing out every door mechanism at every stop by having the operator open all doors.
At the very least, the TTC will need to create new door...
I really can't express how pleased I am with the TTC finally adopting the "tracked" plug sliding door system for their electric bus orders. They should've done this with the most recent hybrid orders as well...
These doors are so much better than the outward opening doors we had with the VIIs...
No kidding...

You really got me scratching my head when you asked me about Finland's BYDs...
I'll provide you with a better explanation now - the only reason we have so many BYDs is because unlike Sweden, we're such a tiny market that for a while BYD and Yutong were the only...
I find Seton Park to be the most appropriate new name for Science Centre Station. It would be one stop east of Sunnybrook Park (Line 5), and just north of Thorncliffe Park and Flemingdon Park on the future Line 3. The park runs behind the former Science Centre buildings. There's also a Seton...
I've never seen anything like this before at a MUP/roadway crossing - it's like a German level-crossing signal for trains/trams:
First, the amber signal lights up:
Then, double red:
Then they alternate:

Sorry for not replying sooner... I honestly don't know. Helsinki and Turku at least seem to keep their BYD fleets running properly - you don't hear many complaints on the Finnish transit forum about them.

Something really bothering me is the current lane setup southbound on Leslie at Eglinton. Normally, I wouldn't care about a slip lane being removed, but here it seems to have backfired.
Leslie approaching Eglinton has always been 3 lanes - 2 south to east, one west. Since they removed the slip...

Our bi-levels are such a superior design! I can't stand Gallery cars. (Sorry, METRA.)
Not to defend it, but passenger train graff is a big part of European graff culture. Those trains in Miles' video were soft... Here's an example of how a professional crew operates in Berlin:
Pulling the emergency brake on an in-service train is a thing there... The closest we've gotten were...
