Looks like a pretty refreshing take on urbanism for Mississauga, actually. Mid-rise and appreciable densification done sensibly. The green space snaking through it has real potential.

Not that this is really on topic, but I suspect trade strikes are merely part of a larger, very contemporary problem - labour and union unrest owing to soaring costs of living and huge affordability issues for a broad demographic swath.

Really have to wonder how entrenched this latest wave of labour unrest will be in terms of its impact on construction projects around town. I feel for the people who have made downpayment on various builds.

Yeah, agreed - it's a gateway corner and this is definitely both imposing and drearily underwhelming.

It's definitely useful to consider that most cities go through staggered phases of robust growth spurts followed by periods of relative inaction and stasis - roughly coinciding with economic booms and dips. In that regard, many younger Torontonians may be forgiven for thinking that the horizon...

Not jazzed by the design either but at least it went up to 5 stories. That's a win in my book, however small, and it helps, in its own small way, to raise the bar for more development along this strip.
