I've had the opposite experience. Any homeless person within the station is engaged immediately, and they often congregate in the teamways, which seems to be the only place they're allowed to congregate, for a while. I would guess dealing with the homeless is a vast majority of Union security's...

From my understanding from previous posts in this thread, there is very little clearance below Front St. to the Union Station mezzanine to allow for proper bollard installation, hence the much shallower blocks. And that's why bollard are on Bay St, they have better clearance below ground.

Easier said than done in the mid-2000s when these were designed. Also, they did. The existing 10" LCD screen in each car is cute, but completely useless.

Why on earth would you ban parking on Draper? It would only be necessary (or a good idea) if it were a commercial strip with lots of foot traffic. But it's a quiet residential street, not in anyway a destination. Requiring residents park in a garage on another property that they won't have 24...

If you're really pressed for time I can think of at least eight places in Union that allow pre-orders via the app. The sushi takeout spot has become an almost weekly stop for me, especially after 6pm when it's 30% off all prepared food. Grab and go and the checkout is very fast with two lines.

I have to double check with my sources, but from what I remember the learning centre, cafe, and these washrooms (1 of 3 washrooms in the park) are part of the Play Park phase, and likely dependent on funding as well. If you look carefully, the learning centre tucks under part of the play park.

It's not just a matter of building 10,000 homes. Things have to be done in phases, houses have to be sold before being built, trades have to be queued up. While it would be nice if it happened all at once for your pleasure, that's an logistically impossible task. Also, this won't be popular...

No the play area is adjacent to and surrounding the crane, as seen in the renderings. The park opening in 2026 will be the south area MINUS the Play Park. See the waterfront Toronto map on the previous page
