Does anyone know what's happening at 1001 Queen East, at the corner of Pape? Formerly Stohos Auto, was for sale and now there's fencing around the building, though it appears as though it's be renovated, not torn down?
Does anyone know about the retail going in on King? Someone mentioned Sobey's earlier in the thread. Is that for this building? If there any proof a Sobey's would be moving in here?
Ick.
I think Sugar Beach works well as it allows for events to come in and out of the surrounding area (the boardwalk is purposely empty to allow for markets and festivals to pop up). The fact that no permanent bar or restaurant is right on the beach makes it a lot easier to pack some wine...
I gotta say, this blog doesn't look like the most reputable source and the image looks like it was hacked together on sketch up. Is there another link to this story from great gulf?
I was also curious of the old Heart and Lung Association building. On the city's website, it's already listed as a Daycare: http://www.toronto.ca/children/dmc/webreg/gcreg12913.html
I wonder if this is current or old? Appears to be a daycare chain.
Does anyone know what might be going into 366 Queen East? It was formerly the "Federal Mattress Company" across from the TD at Queen / Parliament. There seems to be an extensive reno going on. Liquor License permit in the window with a variance sign stating a restaurant with more than 30 seats...
Am I the only person who found the previous tree rather cheesy and tacky? A rotating fake tree with a bunch of flashing crystals on it? It's also worth mentioning that the Eaton Centre never "owned" that tree. In fact, they paid Swarovski for the rights to use it. It moved to Yorkdale this year...
