Agreed. In fact, I'm seeing a bunch of zum artics going out on routes that need the additional padding for morning routes. They were doing this during covid, but it seems to have been adopted full time for many routes to ensure theyre moving as many as possible.

Just me $0.02, I think these specific cuts are to avoid strain on the rails as the concrete cures. They had alignment issues that resulted in the rails being ripped and replaced, and chances are they want to do everything to avoid having to waste time on it again. Or... someone did something in...
