There are 4 double height floors in total. Event space for 2 floors. Hotel lobby and condo lobby for the other 2 floors.

Line 5 - Eglinton Crosstown West Extension Airport Segment

Is there an updated alignment map for this now? I remember they had updated it from the original plan. Going up on Explorer instead of Commerce.

TTC: Bloor Danforth Line 2 West Extension(s)

There is a requirement for a transit reservation on all Dundas developments that back onto the tracks. Tho it looks like the requirement is for underground tunnels. You can see it in the architectural plans of the Pinnacle development: This would seem the plan is for the tracks to go...

The stations aren't all that complex. I'd argue the Eglinton crosstown had more complex underpinning and direct access designs than the Ontario Line. With deep tunnel boring, and 5 levels of stairs/elevators between Line 1 and the Ontario Line.

Yes, I read it. And it proves how slow this site is moving. Late spring until mid summer, a solid 3 months to create the staging slab that merely covers a third of the site? That's a snail's pace. Another 4-5 months and they're still not even bottomed out on the excavation, which was already 2...

Let's compare with CIBC square 2. They started piling work in April 2021 and started excavations in May 2021. The pit was bottomed out and the base crane ready by October, a mere 6 months later. And the core was built up and above grade by June 2022, another 8 months later. For comparison, the...

    Finch West LRT East Extension

Let's not devolve this thread into a semantics argument about what the Eglinton Line is or is not. This thread is for the Finch LRT east extension.

@interchange42 time for an update to the thread title?? This is huge news!! Also, wonder if Mizrahi is thinking of adding a 10m tall "architectural spire" to the top of his most recent proposal to retain the tallest crown!

And for comparison, most of Line 2 is built on the north side of Bloor Street and has only 1 entrance on the intersection. Granted the buses mostly have a loop that they use to directly drop passengers in the fare paid zone, but still. I would definitely like a secondary entrance on at least...

So, who's popping champagne when the first champagne coloured cladding is installed on the super-columns?!? I think it's only fitting! Ok, I promise that's the only champagne joke I'll make for the foreseeable future! :D

Yes, unfortunately, there's not much activities to see above ground once the station headwalls are built. The TBMs will then bore through the station headwalls and continue onwards. Once that's done, the work will start again to dig down between the 2 headwalls and build the platform first...

There's something going on with the super-columns now. Potentially tapering off to a thinner overall size? Also, the floors have the angle cuts for the next level. You can see they've built a sort of box to make into the shape required.

What's the clearance below the bridge at Wallace? It's definitely not made for heavy trucks, just curious how much lower.
