Last fall the City said that the Fountain Dogs were going to get a new paint job. I had expected this would mean removing them to a workshop where they could be worked on properly but they are still on site and untouched. Anyone want to bet that they will be removing them just as the 'fountain...
Looks like the new standard of removing only top layer of concrete and replacing it plus the rails. Are there any pieces of TTC track that have not been rebuilt to this standard, except maybe Victoria from Dundas to Queen which will be done if Ontario line work ever finishes.
I hope the TTC will finally permanently fix the expansion joint on the bridge while the track work is going on further east. Too often they do not think of other projects that could/should be done to avoid more closures and diversions.
Absolutely! The City used not to issue these kinds of permit in winter as it is clearly not possible (or possible a a reasonable cost) to pour concrete in mid-winter and it is absolutely crazy they have blocked a major sidewalk for 4+ months.
I bet he is 'deposed' after the local elections in May. Politics in UK is really a dreadful mess with amazingly poor leaders in Labour & Tories and a Trump-Lite populist in Reform ahead of the pack.
