On that note, I'm somewhat disappointed that the Pearson Transit Hub proposal got no mention in the Toronto Star article about expansion. I hope that doesn't mean it's dead in the water.
Corridor equipment wouldn't be any good; they need proper baggage capacity on the line. That's also why they'd have to go loco-hauled; nobody is making suitable DMUs anymore.
One other thought I've had: extend the 420 to connect to/become one highway with the 58 in St Catharine's. Can take some of the pressure off the QEW and can further integrate travel within Niagara Region, especially if there's a busway as part of it.
As for Marineland, take the live animal...
I'm thinking it's also so they can crush Porter in the TOR-OTT-MTL market. An editorial on Air Canada's entry into the competition mentioned they were probably after passenger data; that would help them considerably.
The fence is down around the parkette! Only the station building is fenced off now.
EDIT Aug 1: Forgot to mention, the fence blocking the stairs to the Beltline Trail is also down.
The next phase of UTS: the older section closer to Spadina will get a couple towers added to it.
