I wish they would use a different colour/finish cladding here. The entire block of condos in this area is gonna have the same cladding. Give us some black or brick cladding or some type of variety.
Looking north or south this part of the Yonge st corridor really needed a tower with warm colours/cladding. It really helps break the sea of greys and blues you see everywhere. We need more buildings like this.
It Would’ve been nice to have the top crown have a more sculptural tapered in design like the 2 IFC in Hong Kong. It Would elevate the overall building to an iconic status. The height and slenderness gives it the presence and dominance in the skyline, but the flat rooftop falls shorts .
It’s not grey, it’s a light beige colour. I think it will compliment the stone heritage facade bellow. I don’t think it’s gorgeous but definitely not hideous.
It may be cheap cladding but at least from far away it adds warmth to the skyline and breaks the all glass monotone look of most condos. Specially for the distillery we should have more brick in all new buildings
Holy, the impact it has on the skyline is insane! It definitely elevates the skyline to a new level of impressive. This + phase 3 + the Hub, and sugar wharf phase 2 will finish transforming the skyline in the coming years.
This tower should be taller so I hope it’s true and the spike in office space rental leads to a height increase here. We need an office tower super tall. At least 300m
