It’s Mineola actually.
I grew up in Mineola West. It’s a great area. It’s an oasis surrounded by the QEW to the north with Cooksville and Square One beyond, and very close to Port Credit just south of the tracks. With the multi million dollar homes in the area, I don’t see that changing.
Gotta say I really dislike this plan. It's just not intuitive. If you're going to build a new east-west arterial in that part of Brampton on a similar alignment to Major Mackenzie, why not just extend Major Mackenzie, and have Coleraine realigned to meet it slightly further west? Or you could...
I can't remember where the 413 came from, but I made a map of the highway on Google and I called it Highway 413 and I'm constantly getting access requests from people for it lol. My map has had over 700,000 views :P
If it makes you feel better, Mississauga has some ludicrously low speed limits on some streets as well. Eglinton is signed at 60 when it's clearly designed for 70 or 80. Similarly Britannia was an 80 zone and has been dropped to 60 for no discernable reason.
