Finch West LRT to be 10 minutes faster by spring, TTC says

Is there any indication from the Finch LRT opening day that Crosstown will be slower than projected in the underground sections, i.e. factors other than transit priority signal?
I suspect yesterday's reaction to the speed, combined with the Crosstown's expected slow speed in the at-grade sections next year, will create enough pressure for the TTC to make improvements, including transit signal priority.
Great observation. Eaton Centre does need more seating. Yorkdale and Square One could too, but they still have noticeably more than Eaton Centre, particularly benches in the corridors.
I suspect CF's rationale is concern about loitering and security.

Do we anticipate that Line 5 and Line 6 will reduce car congestion on Highway 401, as some intra-city, east/westbound travelers move to transit?
I'm unsure whether to post this here or in the Olivia Chow's Toronto thread. Excerpt plus map (behind paywall)
