Just wondering if you can elaborate? Also as a potential purchaser (and real estate newbie) I'm curious to understand what the significance of the difference in developer means. Thanks!
Maybe brick on towers is the new thing? First the Selby, now this and I think the Artworks building in Regent park has some sort of brickwork treatment as well. Wonder what the execution will be like.
What a fun little building!
BTW, does anyone know where I can find out which appliances and what kitchen cabinet manufacturer did the smart kitchens? It looks really nice and efficient and I would love to replicate something similar in a small space.
Well, it's not so much the lack of square footage, but the poor use of it and the lack of programming (is that what people call it?). The installations (at least from a month or two ago) were pretty lame. Sorry to be blunt (and perhaps apologies to the artists), but I'm sure that anyone coming...
I completely agree. I was so optimistic and excited for the new MOCA but it turned out to be such a severe let down. I can't put my finger on what it is, but the navigation of the space feels awkward, having to navigate each floor by elevator (yes there are stairs but they are tucked away and...
Do you know if that is the application or it's already been approved? I wonder if there is any opportunity for neighbourhood residents to provide their input regarding this change.
Oh no.. this is really unfortunate. I agree with you - this area of the city really needs another grocery store, and this would have been a great location.
I wonder what the cause for the revision was? I suppose the decision is also somewhat final, or at least with little to no chance of being...
This building looks great. I wish there were some daytime renderings though... it's tough to get a sense of what it looks like naturally, without perfectly and uniformly lit interiors at dusk. High hopes though.
True, but the prices are definitely going up significantly with each project - the latest building at Artworks was selling for pretty close to $1000psf. But yes, i guess sadly that is still below the downtown average. But location is different, so...
It'll be interesting to see what phase 2 of...
Karl Lagerfeld has died, aged 85. Hopefully his vision for the lobby of this building stays intact.

Sorry, just to clarify - i don't mean that you 'must' have a hallway, but given that there is only one spot for the living room (as you pointed out), and that is also where the front door is, you're likely going to end up laying out your furniture as they're done in the floor plan. Nothing...
They're the best value based on price per square foot, but there's a reason. The floor plans could be better. They're somewhat awkward in that you enter directly into the living area with no real entryway. It's kind of a waste of having a wider layout (than what is typical), given that you'll...
Looking at the plans, it looks like there are smaller retail units on the ground level along Dundas, but the second level looks like a huge fully open space for one tenant (12542 sq ft), accessed via escalators. I wonder if that type of setup is intended for a grocery store? If so that would be...
