Just flew FCO a few weeks ago, and had mostly positive thoughts about it. The walks can be long connecting, especially non-Schengen to Schengen, but signage was great (much better than the improved YYZ way finding), and the overall passenger flow was much better as well. FCO outsources nothing...
Here is the luggage visibility. You see it walking from the check in hall to the security checkpoint.
Speaking of security, I really wish they would open the lower level up again as a dedicated Trusted Traveller checkpoint... a man can dream.
Really a tale of two buildings here. I walk by it every day up and down Church and rather enjoy its slim and glass filled N/S axis. A friend walks daily across on Wellesley and finds the heavy wall of concrete oppressive over the neighbourhood. A good mural would help. .
Walked by with a friend who studied architecture but has moved on in life. he was surprised when I told them the low rise building was part of the same development. best way to cheap out a building—make the cheap parts look like a different complex altogether!
Today there were 4 dump trucks of fill to flatten out the lot from where they dug out the small building.
I wonder how long the PizzaPizza will stay alive. I know they have been directing orders to this one from their Village location up the street which is closed for renovations.
