    Hamilton Hamilton Line B LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I completely agree. These arguments tend to be made either in bad faith or due to a lack of understanding. Glossing over all of the intermediate stops in a line is pretty egregious. McMaster students travelling downtown is an obvious trip, as is McMaster staff travelling from their homes in...

    GTHA Transit Fare Integration

It's more or less the exact same fare integration system we've had for a decade plus. Half a dozen local agencies have been integrated with each other and GO since at least 2014. It's never been "confusion" or technical limitations that's kept the TTC out of it for so long.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

If this construction notice is accurate, the third track would connect near the Mary Street pedestrian bridge, about 500 metres from the end of the platform.

Looking at the RapidReady report from 2013, speed (as in end-to-end travel time) is not really mentioned at all. On page 1, the report defines rapid transit as a "high frequency transit service operating in a dedicated corridor". The mission on the same page states: Rapid Transit is more than...

It seems like for either alignment, the Longwood Bridge, the Main over CP bridge (EOL) and the highway ramps (2-way conversion) need to be reconstructed. With the redesign, Metrolinx is trading off building a longer LRT-only bridge in favour of re-building the shorter Main over 403 bridge for...

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

I think you mean 10–25 minutes longer, since they currently have to wait up to 15 minutes for the train to the airport too.

    Hamilton Hamilton Line B LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

If we look at Waterloo's LRT as a comparable, here's how it went. Utility relocation: late 2013 Financial close: May 2014 Groundbreaking: August 2014 "90% completion": End of 2016 Open to the public: June 2019 The first announced completion date was late 2017 but by December 2017, only 3 of...

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

The groundbreaking ceremony was itself propaganda, ahead of the June election. I would not say that construction began anywhere close to then.

"End of 2024" is the best we have for the West Island and Deux Montagnes branches. The airport branch (tunnelled) is scheduled for 2027. https://rem.info/en/under-construction/work-schedule#service

Apple Maps had the REM's green line on the transit overlay but even it did not include the REM in directions until yesterday. It was a data provider error.

    Montréal Transit Developments

Google Maps and other transit apps now show REM in transit directions! It's a little disappointing that they didn't have this ready on launch day but being ready for week 2 is not too bad. From what I've heard, it was REM who failed to share their schedules with the data providers in time for...

Construction at Griffintown hasn't even began yet and I'm not sure why. It's going to be harder to build it now that they have to work around an operating rapid transit line.

    Transit Fantasy Maps

Your maps look great, well done! Did you consider adding the Toronto portions of the 5 GO lines that are planned to be electrified? By 2050 I think riding one of those lines would be not too different than riding the TTC subway in terms of service and fare.
