Ontario legalizing e-scooters!!! (Bird, Lime, segway, electric kickscooter, micro mobility, electric skateboards)

Some thoughts: 1. Bird officially started to offer their service in the Distillery District. 2. It was reported the scooters of Bird only last on average for 28 days. 3. The batteries are made of rare and toxic material produced in second or third world countries. 4. Around 8% overall trips by...

The Go train to Niagara Falls is pretty decent now. Often faster than driving. I think for business events and tourists the permanent train starting September is a big win!

Lyft is doing the same in Florida with Brightline. There you are getting a $5 discount code if you are getting to or from the train station. For denser areas I don't think is its great to have car sharing running the service bringing people to the station. That creates too much traffic.

Ion Light Rail (Kitchener-Waterloo) & King/Victoria Transit Terminal

What is the actual frequency today? On Sunday, I witnessed 14 min. which was not that great. I spoke to several people on-board. Especially elderly people like the tram a lot as it offers at level boarding without obstacles. Also, someone told me that she would need to re-do her drivers...

    Eglinton East LRT | Metrolinx

S-Bahn is often also run on diesel engines. The Regional Express (RE) is from my experience electric only. The RE skips stops with lower passenger volumes and connect hubs faster. Re and S-Bahn often share the same tracks and the rail line is usually fully grade separated otherwise the high...
